Night School Bar is democratizing education by offering donation-based evening classes in the arts and humanities in a casual, social setting. Expert instructors, many of which have PhDs and MFAs teach in a seminar format that encourages students to participate. Classes are organized around specific topics like film, literature, philosophy, writing, gender and race studies and more. Join the discourse around timely topics and have fun, make friends and enjoy a beverage while you’re at it.

Easily one of my favorite bars in Durham! Not only do they have top notch drinks & amazing service - But also one of the coolest concepts I've seen, combining a bar with an expansive catalog of in person night-school classes! 10/10 - Definitely add this to your regular bar rotation!

Great addition to the neighborhood! Friendly staff, cool vibe, delicious cocktails. The spacious back parking lot and entrance are super convenient, we’ve stopped in several times for a cocktail before heading the rest of the way downtown for dinner. Night School will be a regular stop for us and we look forward to walking there when the weather warms up.

A lovely place to enjoy a cocktail or companion. The drink menu is smart, the variety of seating comfortable, and the talented staff unobtrusive. Back patio is magical and secluded, you know you're downton but removed from the bustle. Best thing to open downtown since 2020.

Met the owner. They're great! Had three different cocktails, all of them delicious. It was a lovely place to have drinks and visit with friends.
