I had a very nice lunch here today. I had the lunch special- rotisserie chicken with two sides and a bowl of chicken soup. The food was delicious and very healthy portions. The service was great. I'll definitely go back.

This place was good. I kinda had high expectations being A MaMi Noras fan for so long then they turned it into Alpacas and everyone screamed authentic for this place so I gave it a try. Not disappointed but not Amazed. Very Pleased with my food and the customer service will be my go too around this area. Sauce was very good and I love the kick it had.

Very good food. The yellow pepper sauce was delicious. They need to bottle it! Portions kinda small. They didn't have many menus. My wife and I had to share.

Well flavored chicken. Limited menu. Family run. Try it if you like to support local restaurants.

Amazing Peruvian restaurant! I am originally from Peru and I can tell that the cook knows what Peruvian food should taste like. Their ceviche is right on flavor as well as their rotisserie chicken. I have tried other dishes and they have all been great!

Food was delicious and the staff was super nice. Great place for a casual family dinner, reasonably priced. The yellow sauce was amazing. Everyone in our party was happy with their meal.

Food is a bit over priced for such small portions. Are they in a financial crisis bc they had ice in a pitcher and people had to add to their own cups with a regular sized spoon. Food was ok but save your money Alpaca will make sure you get quantity and quality for a better price. I gave three stars because they were friendly and family oriented. If you want to charge upscale prices the whole establishment needs to look the part too.

First time there and it didn't disappoint. I just picked up chicken and prepared sides & salad at home.

Amazing food and wait staff! Both the saltado de pollo and the rotisserie chicken were amazing. Well portioned plates, spiced to perfection. A hidden gem nestled in a random plaza.

My partner and I had a delicious dinner at Mi Perú. The servers are really nice people, and just as a first time customer, I couldn't help but notice the series of regulars that come in and have friendly relationships with the servers. I'm more than happy to come back again. Cavas was great 🥰

I had never been to a Peruvian restaurant before but my wife and I read some of the 5-star glowing reviews and decided to try it on Dec 11, 2019 and goodness, what a great decision that was; everything was outstanding! I hesitate to write this review because I selfishly want to keep this place for just my wife and I but it is a family-run operation with outstanding customer service and the word will spread soon anyway so the long lines and hard-to-get reservations are the inevitable destination for this place. We tried several dishes and all were very flavorful; nice portions (we had to take some it home afterward as leftovers were enough for another meal) and check this, I even asked for some small plastic cups/lids to pour the leftover sauces from each of our dish plates so that we could use it to soak up with homemade bread to eat tomorrow or the weekend as a standalone meal - never done that before from any restaurant in my whole life!! I had Choros a la Chaca (Mussels appetizer) which was packed full of ceviche flavors -awesome - and Sudado de Pescado w/Sea Bass and it was to die for, too. My wife had fried plantains, Choclo a la Huancaina and Chaufa de Camarones. If you want to introduce your tastebuds to a completely new world of deliciousness, head over to Mi Peru Peruvian Cuisine Durham. The address sneaks up on you off Sharon Rd in Durham. We had outstanding service from Manuel; food was lightning fast served! We'll be going back there again soon. If this place were a 100-seat venue on Franklin Street-Chapel Hill, you wouldn't be able to get a seat or reservation anytime!

I found Mi Perú by chance on a trip to the Triangle. I decided to order Seco de Res, a dish I had not had in quite a while. It was just like at home in Peru. I was blown away. I ordered other dishes to go for my family and they were a huge hit. These guys know what they are doing in the kitchen and how serve delicious and beautiful looking dishes. I'll be coming back with my family and suggest this place to all my friends. Best Peruvian food in NC in my opinion. Thank you Cavas!

Amazing Authentic Peruvian restaurant! Found this little jewel by a recomendation and boy am I happy we checked it out. I love good peruvian cuisine, but it is not easy to find in the Triangle. This place definetly gets it done right! It is aimple and unassuming but they have the fundamentals down! The food is exquisite and very traditional, no unnecesary fluf, just excellently cooked good and excellent service. Our server Cavas was very atentive and polite all in all a great spot for some fantastic Peruvian food. Highly recommend it!

My praise for this place starts with our waiter Manny. He was attentive and generous and quick to respond to a request or questions. my boyfriend picked this spot and I didn't expect to enjoy it as much as I did with phenomenal sauce on the side or something of dreams. I requested a couple of cups and took them home.

Can't wait to go again! The atmosphere isn't fancy and could use some improvements, but the service and quality of food more than makes up for it. Our server was very knowledgeable and attentive and personable. The beef dish with soy sauce, Lomo Saltado, was delicious and I would definitely get it again.

Excellent. Yellow sauce has a nice flavor with just enough fire. Tacu tacu was new to me, texture is great. I was hesitant to try the stir fry since I'm it a huge fan of soy sauce, but Peruvians know how to do a stir fry. Loved it all.

We've been here many times, and this last visit was definitely the busiest, even though it was 3pm. The rotisserie chicken never disappoints. The staff is very friendly and answered all our questions about dessert--we had never checked out the dessert menu, but all four items we ordered were out of this world delicious.

I'm Ecuadorian (quite different but familiar cuisine) and I approve of this place. REALLY good stuff! I've been searching for such a place in the area and I'm happy I could find a small hint of Guayaquil in Durham.

The food here is amazing and the people are great! I frequently buy a whole rotisserie chicken with yuca (2 orders), yellow plantains, sarza, and a liter of the purple corn drink when I'm focused on classes and don't want to worry about cooking. By myself, it typically lasts me six or more meals for less than $35! Don't forget the huacatay sauce!

Lived in Cusco for 6 months. This is the best Peruvian good I've found in NC! It's all in the sauce. Stellar job.

I arrived just 10 minutes before they were closing the kitchen. The gentleman who took my order was kind enough to allow me to dine inside. (This is a big deal being a lone traveler from out of state during covid) He was excellent. Definitely had that southern hospitality with that Latin flare. Definitely "de lo mio" My friend suggested I check this place out and get their Steak Lomo Saltado. Listen... WOW! Literally the most delicious food I've had here in North Carolina. If you're ever in the area, grabbing a bite to eat here is NECESSARY. You need to try it. And if you can handle a flavorful slap across the face, you MUST order this with the Yellow Curry Sauce. It's so good, I'm going to order another plate to go to take for my drive back to Massachusetts. Yes, it's that good.

My opinion is strictly based on the food because of the current restrictions keeping us out of the dining experience. I haven't had really good Peruvian food in many years. This one took me way back, when I was a kid eating at my Peruvian friend's family's house. His mom was an AMAZING cook and made things I’d never heard of but they all blew me away. This place was that. I loved it and will be back. If you go, get the Chaufa (it's their version of fried rice). I've tried it at many Peruvian places to recapture what my friend's mom used to do and they have all failed until now. Their soup was phenomenal. I gave one taste to my daughter and when she tasted it she claimed the rest, lol. We will be back.
