Would give 10 if I could. Simple but delicious authentic menu. And the prices- more than reasonable. I judge a lot of restaurants by the way they serve vegetables- Mi Peru gets an A+ for perfectly steamed veggies. This place is extremely clean. Manuel was an amazing server, and gave great recommendations. One thing that stood out is the fact that he said the owners took something off them menu because it would have required them to freeze it! Interested in trying something new? This is the place!

I have been to this restaurant a few times. They used to have a Lomo Saltado with Tacu Tacu (rice and beans mix). This was the best option I think. In general, the food is tasty. Definitely the best Peruvian restaurant on the area with a variety of dishes. Service staff is very friendly and attentive and the atmosphere of the restaurant is very casual. This restaurant is definitely family friendly. If you are craving something different, this might just be the place.

This is a very nice little restaurant. Food is amazing. We got rotisserie chicken($13) and a steak($17). Prices are fair. Quality is great. The sauce is the best!! We enjoyed our meal here.

my husband and had a date to Mi Peru. we have decided to try local ethnic cuisine and this was the first place on our list. it was excellent! I ordered the Peruvian chicken with fried yuca and fried plantains. My husband had the lomo Salgado served with rice. the dishes were rich in flavor and spices, many of which were new to us. the servings were large and we both had leftovers. the restaurant was crowded and busy. the cost of our meal with tip was $44.

Omg!! My new favorite Peruvian spot! This meal brought me back to life when I wasn’t feeling the best. The aji de gallina hit the spot! It felt so warm and homey to eat like your favorite comfort meal when you’re sad. The arroz chaufa de carne was delicious with the yellowish sauce (see photo for reference)! We ordered the choros a la chalaca fuete as well- my lunch date raved over those! Can’t forget to mention the chicha!! I could swim in a pool of their chicha, it’s so good!! My experience here was emotional and beautiful and I can’t wait to try what else they have! We shared each dish between two people and had enough for leftovers! We ate outside and brought our dog. The staff was friendly and kind! 10/10 highly recommend!!

My first time there so I opted for something standard that I'm familiar with and can compare against other local places: half a charcoal chicken and two sides, fried yucca and plantains. It was superb. The seasoning on the chicken was just like what you get in Peru and Bolivia, and it was crispy on the outside and moist throughout. While I like the idea of fried yucca I usually find it to be dry and mealy. Not here -- they were perfectly fried and delicious. Even the plantains seemed a step above others I've had, so plump and juicy with a little char on the outside. And the dipping sauces were great for both the chicken and yucca. I love when what seems like a simple meal is done so well that it transcends what you're expecting or think possible. Will definitely be back to venture out into more unfamiliar terrain on the menu.

My mom (originally from Lima) was in town visiting and was craving some authentic Peruvian food. She ordered the Seco de Res (cilantro beef stew, pictured) and I got the Lomo Saltado. We had such a delicious meal - honestly the most authentic, flavorful Peruvian dishes we’ve had in the States. Manuel really made our dining experience special and suggested we try the Huacatay sauce (super tasty, mint-based). The Alfajores for dessert were such a treat! Highly recommend Mi Peru for anybody who’s looking to try a new cuisine. I plan on taking my fiancé and friends here soon :)

This restaurant is the best kept secret in Durham. Serves great food, the soup and salad included in the lunch specials are amazing and I do not know how they manage to always have such crispy salads and soup flavors so delicious. They are professionals, you will know it once you visit them
