We didn't have to wait to see if they were full. Nor going to somewhere else to find a room. They had very good service there

Nice clean room, comfortable bed, friendly staff. Reserved room through the choice hotels website and was able to apply a promo code. 25% off

I stayed here for 3 nights and I fear the place is on a downward slope. The shades didn't close right, the auxiliary/safety door latch was broken, and the desk had weird melted patches. Also, the erzat brick wall paper made me feel sad for the place. That said, it was quiet and clean and the staff were very helpful.

Days Inn reincarnated. Basic rooms, but clean and comfortable overall. $5 per day parking charge. Location is fair, but within close proximity of Duke medical center and the VA hospital.

It was ok. Nothing terrible but I expect a little more than what I got for $150/night. Room was a little dirty. Rooms and halls are newly renovated w laminate flooring. It looks nice and modern but causing lots of echoing in the room and on the hallway. That said, we were never disturbed by noise from other guests. Staff wasn't bad; but also didn't really do much to make you feel welcome either. Buying a room there was like buying a Big Mac - a smile and a thank you but that was about it.

Well they didn't roll out the red carpet for me but I'm still giving them 4 stars. I reserve 5 stars for only a few select Hotels so to get 4 starts from me says they are good. Great customer care and room service was extremely awesome. Mattress was either brand new or was just so darn comfortable. I wanted to take it home LOL. I woke up feeling like a young man. I will say their coffee didn't impress me much but hey if it's between a good cup of coffee or a good night's sleep I will take the Hotel every time in fact I would pass up my favorite steak House to sleep a night here. Highly recommend!!!

The staff at this hotel is so friendly, efficient and kind! The beds and pillows are very comfortable and the room and bathroom are sparkling clean. Room amenities are great : coffee maker, fridge, microwave, desk and huge TV! Plus the furniture, bathroom and ambiance are modern and comfortable. Had a great stay. Amanda, Brianna, Michael, Lisa, Guadalupe and everyone here is so kind, friendly, so efficient and I just don’t have enough words to thank them. Will look for this hotel next time I am in the area. Close to RTP, Whole Foods, downtown Durham and all major highways.

I can’t remember the old name, but this hotel is 34 years old built some time around February of 1985. The makeover looks fantastic, very modern and clean looking. The bathroom is a little bit small but keep in mind that this building was built in the mid 1980’s so that’s to be expected. The staff was nice and courteous. Beds were a tish firm but nice comfortable pillows. The $5 for parking was stupid and what cost a star. The room was $135 per night and it’s Durham... not DC, for the price parking should be included. FYI there is a covered deck, that’s secure literally across the street that’s only $8 per day.

I would have given it 5 stars, but they only gave me 1 cup of coffee in my room. Great sleeping bed. Great bar food and staff. Nice and clean in all aspects.

They give special rates for Duke patients. Need to book through Duke concierge service. Hotel across the street so to speak from Duke medical. Nice people but modest services. No room service. You can order food but you have to go get it yourself. Food is very good. They have a small bar and eating area as part of the main lobby so you can eat in if you wish.

Employees and customer service were exceptional. Night clerk made last minute check-in quick and easy. She also gave us a great rate and went out of her way to accommodate my special needs for a medical condition. Free parking on site, clean room, relatively quiet hotel. Extremely convenient location if you're going to Duke medical facilities, and they have a free shuttle so you can avoid paying for the Trent St parking garage. Will stay here from now on when visiting Duke hospital. Would have given 5 stars if there had been a better stocked snack-shop - or better yet, free breakfast.

Mr. Harry the shuttle driver and Ms. Tiffany behind the bar went above and beyond to help me!!! They made an awful day so much better. The kindness of these two was so appreciated I was almost in tears. What a great staff and place to stay. Totally awesome people!!!

This hotel was amazing. They had a bar in one and a gym in the other. It was beautiful in there. Everything was neat and nice the decor was very nice too. The lights would light up the entire room. The bathroom was gorgeous.

If you're going to Duke hospital, you can't beat the location or the price. Staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel was relatively clean, but there was a little pink mold in the bathroom tile grout. Seems like a low-budget remodel of an older hotel. Walls and doors are paper thin so you hear everything around you! Overall. good but not great.

Great location! Very close to Duke Hospital, reasonable rates, trendy spaces and rooms. On the negative side, there is a modest cost for parking ($5), and breakfast was not included with our rate. It's roughly the same distance from the hospital as the hospital parking deck.

Absolutely loved our stay! Lisa behind the counter is reason enough. Like many visitors, we stayed at the Cambria to be close to Duke Hospital for my dad’s triple bypass heart surgery and recovery. Speaking with Lisa, she continually asked how my dad and mom were holding up. She added us to her prayer list and genuinely cared how we were doing. If that’s not service, I don’t know what is. Thank you Lisa and Cambria for a great stay.

Recently stayed as relative had surgery @ Duke. The rooms are clean & efficient. What made my stay most important were 1. Close to hospital. One block away making it an easy walk to & from. 2. The shuttle service was great saving daily parking fees and added much convenience. 3. Staff - Jesse, the hotel manager, was extremely helpful & accommodating. Amanda one of the check in staff went above & beyond for several requests I made. Harry, the shuttle driver, was quickly available when requesting rides to & from the hospital as well as very kind. There was another gentleman who assisted with issues I had when a light didn't work who was very nice and was able to attend to what asked. When one is very distressed while a close family or friend is hospitalized it is the little touches and understanding that does not make your day any more stressful. The staff know this and extend empathy in the jobs they do and it makes such a big difference.

Rooms are very clean and nice the only issue would be having some type of curtain on the windows other than the little thin see through blind on them. When your next to the parking at night the lights shine in so bright when you're trying to sleep and also the courtesy of other people staying there not filling their cooler full of ice at midnight when the ice machine is right outside the doors of the rooms.

I was very please with my stay on Oct 21. The staff was extremely courteous and helpful. They were very understanding when I was late checking out due to doctors appointments. It was a great experience. I definitely would highly recommend this hotel. I will stay there again in the future. Harry was was the best shuttle driver. He was very polite. He dropped my sister and me at our apartments on time. We did not have to wait long for his service. He went beyond with his service with finding my sister jacket. The service we received from the hotel took alot of stress off of me. Thank you again for wonderful hospitality.

It no longer is called Cambria and was therefore a little hard to find it on the street. I seem to have arrived the day management changed because nothing advertised was true. No food for breakfast or supper. No daily cleaning of rooms. So not sure of disinfecting told me over the phone. But staff was friendly and helpful. One fancy LED bedside light would take 3 weeks to fix.

Stayed two days at this hotel and it was a nice clean hotel. The staff was very helpful with anything we needed. The shuttle service was outstanding. They were kind and prompt (well worth it). The blackout curtains let me sleep till 9am (yes). The bed was firm is you like that kinda bed. There was a walk in shower that unlike most kept the water in the shower not all over the bathroom floor. There is a Keurig coffee maker, fridge, and microwave. I had no problems here during my stay.
