I am reviewing the disc golf course at the park in particular. The course has advanced and recreational tees and baskets. I love the recreational course, not too long or difficult, but I have not been brave enough to try the advanced yet. I gave three stars because the signage needs improved and there are no bathrooms available besides a portable toilet next to the parking lot. As a woman I would appreciate an indoor restroom especially to wash up. The rest of the park seemed neat with the old homestead and other buildings to view when they are open. Included some pics of the surroundings. -
A bit more on the rustic side than some outdoor park goers might be used to - the bathroom is a Porta potty, trails can be pretty rough to navigate- but overall it fits my needs of being a jogging trail and I love coming here.
Please remember to watch for snakes, bring water, and leash your pups :) -
More of a hedge maze than a disc golf course, you'll spend more time looking for the next hole than actually playing the game.
The rough is rife with overgrown, thorny tangles. The signage is confusing, and at times, completely wrong. Multiple holes warned that we may be hit by discs thrown from places we wouldn't see–thankfully, everyone else was playing at better courses.
I gave this a second star because the area itself was mostly shaded and pretty, and the derelict log cabins near the final holes gave an air of macabre mystery. As did the abandoned shock collar of a missing dog.
If you enjoy explaining "Type Two Fun" to your friends, this is the course for you. Otherwise, there's better options ten minutes in any direction. -
Great disc golf course. Very beefy and a lot of different ways you can play the course. A little bit hairy and needs better signage still. -
The area's most improved course over the last few years. A nice mix of shot shapes are needed.
