The annex connected to the Lakewood building currently home to Lula and Sadie’s has always offered an additional space for casual culinary creativity. The father/son team behind the restaurant is using the spot for their latest culinary venture: Legs for Days, which offers something different than your classic wing shack. The deep-fried, crispy lollipop chicken drumsticks are tossed in a variety of signature wet and dry rubs ranging from mild to spicy, with dipping sauces to suit your liking. Sides include fresh-made rosemary fries and classic cole slaw or potato salad.

Our first experience here was fabulous! We ordered 12 legs for take out, 4 different flavors, and 2 different sauces. Order was hot and ready on time, purveyor was lovely to meet!
The legs themselves were extra meaty with a crispy exterior and tender interior, and all of the flavors we tried were great. Something to note is that the spice scale is pretty mild. We tried their jerk wings (labeled hot, but what our group would call medium to mild) and their Thai chili (labeled mild, we agreed very, very mild). (For people like me who get reflux, it was a nice change!)
We did a 12 piece for 4 people, and 3 legs per person with other sides was perfect for a moderately portioned dinner.
Absolutely thrilled to have an entirely gluten-free menu!!! Half our group is GF and it's a relief to feel safe ordering anything.

This place is a hidden gem. Anyone looking for great wings should take a moment to give these legs a go. Delicious and perfectly fried. Heavenly Buffalos finally has some real competition in Durham.

I had some really awesome lemon pepper chicken legs, and the rosemary fries were delicious! So crispy and the seasonings were on point. Couldn't ask for better service either.

We love a no-frill place that prioritizes the food above all. We ordered a 12-piece with 4 different tossing sauces - all tasted amazing: super crispy on the outside and super juicy on the inside. We had some amazing rosemary-topped fries on the side, but the star of the side bites were those half-pickled peppers woahhh.
- Nicely priced, 12 pieces for $22
- Staff were super friendly and helpful.
- Everything is clean and neat.
- Will definitely return. Highly recommend!

Based on my visit on January 25th, Decent Chicken presents a convenient option for those seeking chicken within the immediate vicinity. However, it is worth noting that the pricing for their wings is somewhat elevated, with 12 pieces currently listed at $22.

A little pricy for wings, but I do realize that lollipopping chicken is somewhat tedious.
The drumsticks themselves were very tasty, and the sauces we tried (Thai chili, honey BBQ, teriyaki) were very good. The accompanying Blue cheese was large, thick, and had chunks of cheese in it.
The rosemary fries were way too salty however.
This is a good place to come and get some chicken.

New favorite chicken place! 100% gluten free menu. Amazing fried chicken like a cross between a drumstick and a wing. Good place for celiac folks to get good fries.
