Some of the best BBQ around! We had the pulled pork sandwich and the chicken special. Both were 100% on point and would happily order again. The fries were tasty and everything was hot and juicy. The “4” is due to the usage of those little packets of plastic spoon/knife/fork which is so very wasteful and I ordered tea and it came in that plastic bottle. Also, TBH I know they need to make a profit but $14 for a sandwich with no side or drink is a bit much for me.

Okay maybe I mis ordered or they were having an off day because I only ever hear good things, but very disappointed. My food looked so good, but then when I took a bite, it tasted like they just dumped a salt bucket on it. Both the chicken salad and the Mac n cheese were dowsed in salt. And I love salt (add extra to everything). I even saved half of it for the next day and couldn’t even eat it, it was so salty. I’ll have to go back and try again

The oysters were delivered cold, the flavor was not out of this world, the wings were good, and the pork had a good flavor. for my taste it was a little greasy but normal if it is pork, it is the best you can eat in this place, very good attention and it was fast, I went on a Saturday at 3 pm

Lawrence Barbecue located in the Boxyard RTP is a great BBQ spot!! Brisket that is the most tender and flavorful you’ll have anywhere! Nice crust on it but wow was it tender! Good prices too. Friendly and quick service. Their beans are great too. Robs very good, chicken very good but brisket was the star.

These folks are doing A LOT out of a very small kitchen, and the effort shows. Brisket was 10/10 twice in a row. Fried Chicken Sando was killer, and the Brunswick Stew stood up to grandma's. Poblano Cornbread was a sleeper— crispy on the edges and super moist inside. Wish I lived closer and didn't have a job, cause I'd be eating here 2-3 times a week. Go with a crew, cause you're gonna wanna try it all.

I think this is the “better” place in box yard to eat I won’t repeat again here but I had a good experience. We ordered wings (which to my taste they were dry and no flavor), pasta that I didn’t like and brisket. I recommend more for the place that for the food

If you love some good pulled pork, Lawrence Bbq is the place you need to go immediately! Im not the biggest pork guy, but I would eat Lawrence’s in a heartbeat.
But everything else was just ok. We got the 3 meat sampler and a few sides for just under 35 dollars. The brisket and wings were kinda salty and the sides were just ok. But that pork, it sits in a category by itself. It didn’t even need sauce.
For the pork alone, this place is on another level! I ll definitely come back for a sandwich.

I traveled from Vegas back home to NC for vacation, and I wanted great bbq. Especially a pulled pork sandwich. They delivered an extremely good sandwich ! I loved their spin on Mac and cheese too!

Lawrence is definitely one of my go to spots in RTP for wings and barbeque. The location is awesome, and you can grab beer at Fullsteam.
They do run out of certain things though, so if you want something specific get there early.

Yowza! BoxYard RTP has plenty to offer, I tried some barbecue brisket - delicious! Sides all tasted great, and the atmosphere has a fun, friendly vibe. Will definitely stop here every time I visit the area!

Some phenomenal BBQ and chicken here. I’ve lived in the south my whole life and had lots of BBQ from all types of places, and the pulled pork here hits real close to home for me. A perfect level of moist/melt in your mouth.
The honey hot chicken sandwich was stupid delicious. That sandwich was so good it felt dreamlike. One of the best souther chicken sandwiches I’ve ever had.
Their sides are also amazing - Mac n cheese along with the coleslaw surprised me with how good and unique of a side they prepared was. This is an ultra gem of the Boxyard that I didn’t not expect to be so good with southern BBQ cooking. Also good selection of beer to go with your meal. A bit pricey however - chicken sandwich with pulled pork and two sides will run you $35+
