I got the cherry guava puff pastry and autumn gateu they were delicious, the cardamom vanilla latte is very stong in cardamom but I like that flavor.
Beautiful ambiance and calming music. It's a little hard to find you have to go to the backside of the building to enter.

Love this new bakery and so glad they got a store front. Note- if you’re having trouble finding it- head to the little center and drive around back behind the church on left.
Fabulous pastries, Middle Eastern desserts, croissants. Their tahini chocolate chip cookies were phenomenal (made someone who doesn’t usually go for tahini desserts- love them which is saying something) & great chocolate croissant. They serve my favorite local roasted coffee too (Little Waves).
I definitely plan to be back to try more pastries.
They have a seating area & WiFi too

La Racette Patisserie is this secret gem of a spot that's easily the best cafe in Durham. Hands down. Everything on display is freshly made and incredibly delicious. It's the closest to a European Bakery we have withing a hundred miles of the triangle.
And yes, they actually ARE in the back of the strip mall!

Amazing hidden gem! We almost did not find it because is literally in the back-end of a strip mall. Amazing French pastries with Middle Eastern influence (e.g., Baklava cheesecake and Kunaffeh Danish!!!). Great service. Tables to sit. Great decor and ambiance. Must visit!!!

Lovely cafe with nice customer service.
entrance was at the back side of the building,for those who are not aware, keep turning !
decent pastries, my only complaint is the gel center in the cake was too hard and the filling on the crossaints light.
parking is available up front and flavors change every month

La Recette Patisserie has become one of my favorite cafes. My friend and I have made coming to this cafe our weekly thing. I’ve tried a few things and they’re all amazing. I will say my favorite treats are the chocolate croissant, their arugula danish and their mango milk cake is my absolute favorite! I recommend this cafe to everyone. It’s a 10/10 for me :)

Google maps won’t tell you this, but the bakery is in the BACK! Where you would normally see deliveries made. It looks like a back door. But it is DEFINITELY worth the time to find! Beautiful pastries-as much a delight to look at as to eat. Take my advice - buy an extra to take home for tomorrow(if you can resist temptation that long!).

Fabulous patisserie in a humble setting. Tucked around the back of a strip mall, La Recette has delicious croissants and cakes. Cute interior with plenty of seating. Best kept secret in Durham!

This was our third time here, and I must say, everything we have had has been just as tasty as it looks. The owners and staff are so kind and patient. Great ambience & music. Highly recommend this bakery!

Okay so this is definitely a hidden gem. You have to drive around to the back of the building to get to their entrance. Once you find it, welcome to paradise. Everything in this little bake shop looks amazing. I tried the Oreo cheesecake and a chocolate covered cream puff eclair. Y’all, when I tell you these desserts made my whole day. I wish I could tell you I shared them with someone. I did not. I wish I could tell you I waited until I got home to take a bite. I did not. And honestly, no regrets. I will definitely be back and I can’t wait to try some of the new items!

Amazing hidden gem. Beautiful and delicious desserts. Great drinks. And the staff is so pleasant to talk to and they're eager to give recommendations.
They change their menu out monthly too so there is definitely a reason to visit again.
