Stayed one night and would stay again. It's a little tricky to get to so check directions. Has a nice pool and outside area to relax in. Our room was on the end across from the stairs so it was a little noisy but not unbearable. There is a red lobster next door and a couple other restaurants very nearby. Complimentary breakfast was good also. Parking is convenient

Just want to warn anyone in a wheelchair that the toilet and bed are not wheelchair accessible. The toilet is so (due to some bolted on lifted seat)high even an adult males feet barely touch the ground. And even with a transfer board I couldn’t get on the bed. Otherwise for anyone else it’d be fine. But it made for a very frustrating experience as a wheelchair user!

The front lady was absolutely amazing!!! She helped me and my family get our reservations fixed and went out of the way to make sure we got checked in after a long trip to Durham for my daughter to have back surgery the next day! She was amazing and truly went above and beyond to help at any point she could! Keep her on your staff and people will continue to come back!!! The TV remote wasn't working and she moved us right away and apologized for the inconvenience!

This hotel had excellent ratings and was close to where I had stopped to eat. I chose this hotel for those reasons.
I got checked in, but I still had paperwork to sign, although I had registered and paid online.
There were no dollies available to help get my things inside, so I had to make 3 trips to get all my things inside.
My room was on the 3rd floor, and there were elevators to use, but the elevators were located on 2 different sides of the hotel, and there was quite a lot of walking from the elevators to the room. This got my attention so quickly because of the medical issues I have and the fact that all the walking made things worse for me physically.
No matter which elevator I took to get back to the ground level, I found broken patches on the car floor inside the car. When the doors opened, the elevator level was a little lower than the floor level.
With all the difficulties I had at check-in and getting things to my room, I have to say that the bed I slept in was GREAT! It helped me get rested up so that I could travel on to my home the next day. The room itself was okay. It was enough for me that night. The shower turned out to be a tub with a shower. If there were 2 people staying in this room, then there might be trouble having enough room to spread out suitcases to have easy access to clothing. Two people would have to constantly move and lift their cases to reopen them each time he/she needed something from their respective case.
The staff were friendly and did their best to talk up the facility. However, I can't give this hotel an excellent rating. I was able to stay the night for less than $100, and now I totally understand how a hotel with excellent ratings is able to offer such deals. That's why I gave this hotel a 3-star (okay) rating.
If you need a place to stay the night, this hotel is okay. If you need more than a night or extended stay, I would recommend finding a different place to stay.

Pretty great, overall. The chain on the toilet randomly broke, there was one tiny soap for shower & hands, the pool was closed “for maintenance? (aren’t they all, these days?), which we weren’t notified of when booking, and all the doors stuck (handles wouldn’t turn to open the door very well). But if it wasn’t $130/night on a non-holiday weekday, those things would be inconsequential. Overall, it was pretty clean. The beds were soft & nice, no horrifying unwashed comforter. There was leftover food in the fridge, a lack of screens on the window & the carpet smelled a little of pet urine, but only if you got down to tie your shoe; and it was - after all - a pet-friendly room. These things unfortunately come with the territory; not all pets are as well behaved as ours, and many owners are negligent & create these situations. It was really nice to stay in such an overall clean & lovely place that allowed our cat to join us. Terri was great at the front desk, super helpful. The scrawny dude this morning seemed pretty apathetic & unprofessional, but whatever, maybe he was having a stressful morning. As far as a safe & comfortable & convenient place to sleep that didn’t pose any financial headaches or crazy fees or rooms reeking of cigarette smoke, bloodstains, etc., it was all good. We’d just been through the ringer with Millennium Hotel Durham / AirBnB and it was such a relief to come here & have a basically normal, not-awful experience without any kind of weird Faustian contract.

We travel with our dog everywhere we go and have always stayed at the La Quinta Inn & Suites. They used to not charge for dogs, but now they charge $25 a night with a $50 max charge for however many nights longer you stay. Also, the checkout used to be 12:00 pm, now it's 11:00 am. We booked the deluxe king room and it was very nice. There's tons of space, a desk and chair if you're staying for business, microwave, and refrigerator. The bed was very comfortable, very clean sheets, and nice pillows. The bathroom was large with many extras, including a large tub/shower combo, Dove products for face and hair, bath mat, towels, and a hairdryer. The hairdryer is in a black drawstring bag that's hanging on the hook behind the door. They serve breakfast from 6 am. until 9 am. They had a few hot breakfast items such as waffle iron, eggs, and sausage. They also had cereal, milk, orange juice, yogurt, banana, and oatmeal. I didn't see any muffins, which was slightly disappointing, I'm not sure if they didn't serve them or if they were out before we came down. They do have an outdoor pool and a gym, which we didn't use during our stay, but they both look nice. We were staying there because I had an appointment with my surgeon at Duke University Hospital, which was about 10 minutes away. So if you're coming for an appointment at Duke, the location is really close, and there's 2 different routes to get there. All the employees were very nice, respectful , understanding, and helpful. We definitely highly recommend this La Quinta and will be staying here in the future.

Excellent room, property, and staff. Stylish, clean, modern, super nice! Love the peaceful courtyard! Look forward to being able to use the indoor pool on another visit. Easy to have dog there on first floor. Comfy bed and everything seemed high quality. Would highly recommend staying there! And fantastic price! Really surprised price was that low on such a nice property!

As of 2/19/23 their pool and hot tub are closed until further notice. Came all the way from Nashville Tennessee to meet my significant other with our dog (as we currently live in separate places) as a halfway point to have a mini vacation and spend time together so we booked it mainly for the pet friendly aspect and indoor pool and hot tub. I get all the way there at 7pm last night with my partner and our dog....go to check in...pool and hot tub closed. No notice, no email, and the amenities were advertised as such and that's exactly why we booked there. So I decided to move hotels to one in Raleigh that had these features but was more expensive. Luckily, the front desk staff was SO KIND, understanding, helpful and polite and professional. She cancelled my room with no issues. The hotel itself was really nice, clean and comfy on the inside. The grounds were up kept properly and they were clean. Parking was easy and nice. Dining room was super nice and looked like they would have an incredible breakfast. I hate I couldn't stay here but overall seemed like a great place and great staff and safe great location. Just wanted to warn others about pool.
