I had lunch here with my sister and niece for the first time, and it was amazing. The inside is beautiful and open, and they have a karaoke room! I ordered the house sake, kimchi, takoyaki, & Kinya Sashimi, and it was so fresh. It came out on a beautiful presentation. I also ordered dessert, I can't remember the name of it, but it was so good, it was red bean filled. I ordered a Kinya ramen to go, which was packaged neatly and so good! Next time I am in Durham, I will be back!! Had to edit because I forgot to mention how Amanda was amazing server. I will be back soon and ask for her again!

The food here was OUTSTANDING. I highly recommend this place. The service was impeccable. The options were endless. Fantastic space, open and airy, great view of the Sushi Bar, very clean. Anytime I'm in the area we will be eating here. It's our new favorite ramen & sushi place!

Kinya was SO good! I'm new to the area and was hoping to find a good ramen spot. So glad I got to try the Kinya Ramen, Kinya Sushi Roll, and Kinya Old Fashioned. They have a great deal for all three at $42! Such a great experience and our waitress Ashley was also very attentive to our needs. I definitely will be back!

I’ve tried many ramen spots in the state, and this is the only one that truly hits the mark. As an Asian, I have high standards for authenticity, and this place delivers. The Tonkotsu broth is incredibly rich yet has a very "clean" and refined taste—not overly salty or heavy. We also ordered the fried squid (calamari) as a side, and it was perfectly crispy and fresh. The atmosphere and decor are top-notch, making the whole dining experience very pleasant. Pro-tip: If you have the option, definitely go with the white noodles! Highly recommended for any serious ramen lover.

Overall good experience. Our server Jarrad was very kind! We love that our food came with complimentary kimchi, and the spicy ramen was really good! The only problem I had was with their Toro nigiri. Toro is my favorite, and what I received was honestly disgraceful. The portions were the smallest I’ve ever seen, and the fish looked poorly handled (lots of miware). That being said, we also got a salmon roll and it was spectacular, with one of the biggest portions of salmon I’ve ever had. All of that to say, a wonderful experience as long as you don’t get the Toro!!

We finally made it to Kinya Ramen in Durham this weekend, and we loved it. Next to Harris Teeter and across from Sprouts it sits at 202 West NC Highway 54. We started with miso soup and kimchi. Both were simple and very tasty. The ramen was very satisfying, and even the protein bowl was superb. What impressed us the most was the service from the moment we walked in. The front counter team moved efficiently, and genuinely friendly, to get everyone seated at a table or the Sushi bar without issues. Our server, Jarrad, was outstanding. He guided us through the menu, checked in at the right times, and made the whole meal feel cared for. We left grateful for Jarrad's attention. We'll absolutely be back. Kinya Ramen in Durham is one of our new favorite spots.

Kinya is a fantastic new ramen spot in Durham, and our book club of 13 had an amazing time here! We reserved the karaoke room (we didn't sing, just used it as a private space), and it was perfect for our group — plenty of room to spread out, chat about our book without bothering others, and enjoy the meal in peace. I ordered the Wonton Ramen, and it was outstanding: the broth was seasoned perfectly, the golden noodles were cooked just right (chewy but not overdone), and I loved the fish cakes and that soft boiled egg — such great touches! For a drink, the Mango Mai Tai hit the spot — sweet, refreshing, loaded with coconut rum and tons of fresh mango flavor. The restaurant itself is clean, bright, and beautifully decorated with a modern Japanese vibe that feels welcoming and upscale without being stuffy. The staff was super friendly, and our waitress Emili was top-notch — attentive, helpful, and made the whole experience even better. Everyone in our group loved what they ordered, and the menu has lots of great choices (ramen, sushi, appetizers, and more). Prices felt like excellent value for the quality and portion sizes. We're already planning our next book club here — highly recommend Kinya for groups, date nights, or just a delicious ramen fix. We'll definitely be back! 🍜✨

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Fantastic lunch at Kinya in Durham! We stopped by Kinya for lunch and had such a great experience. The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming, and our server David took excellent care of us—friendly, attentive, and made great recommendations. We ordered the Tonkatsu Ramen, Shrimp Tempura Ramen, King Salmon Belly Nigiri, and Takoyaki. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The ramen broths were rich and comforting, and the sushi melted in our mouths. The Takoyaki was so good I forgot to take a picture before eating—it comes with six pieces, and every bite was amazing! Kinya is a wonderful new addition to Durham’s dining scene—definitely worth visiting for lunch or dinner!
