This is super close to my old place. The chicken was pretty good, but nothing to write home about. The Mac and cheese was done well, but not my preferred sauce consistency. Collards were nicely spiced and not at all bitter. Hush puppies were above average. Pork was really good... I would say it's my 2nd favorite and I would recommend trying it. Just be aware they are closed Monday's and the line to order goes in front of the soda machine so you will be in the way the whole time.

Only have Ribs on Thurs after 5. Not the best Brisket that I've ever had. The costumer service was not too bad but the cashier didn't have a lot of patience with me.
If you're in Durham I wouldn't recommend this as my first choice -
Good barbecue! Had the pulled pork and pulled chicken. Spicy mac and cheese wasn't great, but the baked beans, slaw, and fried okra were tasty. Unfortunately, the hush puppies were over-fried and greasy. This joint is pretty small, so we sat outside were we could enjoy smelling the smoker preparing more barbecue!

Quality: Meat smoked and prepared fresh on site. Can't tell you how many "BBQ" places around Durham import already cooked pork, or unfrozen cooked pork. Not here though!

Service: My food came out piping hot in less than 5 minutes from ordering. Cashier was nice.

Price: Too often BBQ places try to up their costs by projecting theirselves and their meat at astronomical prices. This place was fairly priced.

Cleanliness: Nice to see high cleaning standards on an almost medical level. Made me feel comfortable. -
I liked it a lot; I'd give 4.5 if I could. Brisket was just a little short. It was a little dry, maybe slightly overcooked. But at least there still was some fat. Flavor was excellent, good but of smoke. Their smokey Memphis sauce a nice touch.
The pork is a similar story. They're vinegar sauce s nice.
No banana pudding today :(
