Splendid, indeed. Jeni's is a recent addition to Durham's ice cream scene, nestled in the Brightleaf District between Goorsha and Gojo. Relax with a cone on the patio, sampling flavors like the signature brown butter almond brittle, wildberry lavender and brambleberry crisp. Touting the "milkiest chocolate in all the world," Jeni's makes for a fine destination on National Chocolate Ice Cream Day in June as much as it does year-round.

Jeni's never fails to have the most interesting and best tasting ice cream around. I'd say I'm a traditionalist - not much can get me to sway away from my chocolate in a sugar cone, but Jeni's has me ordering actual whole cones - and waffle BOWLS - of even the chocolate-free flavors (who would have thought their latest invention, Pumpkin Seed with Rye Crumb, would be good? It was AMAZING!) Even their dairy- and gluten-free options (which sometimes leave you still with that ice cream craving) could easily be mistaken for dairy ice cream! Honestly I now compare everything to Jeni's.
Sustainability-wise, thank you! Finally a place that uses washable tasting spoons! And I love that they encourage you to try all their flavors by welcoming you in with a "Welcome to Jeni's, what flavor can I get for you to try today?" :) My heart!
This particular location rocks because their staff are loyal and LOVE their ice cream and their jobs. They take pride in what they do and in their customers. It's beautiful to see how happy employees creates a happy work place, and thus a happy space for clientele!
Keep up the great work, Bull City Jeni's!

If you want icecream that will not disappoint, Jeni’s is the place to go! When you walk in you instantly smell the sweet aroma of the waffle cones made daily in store. They have a variety of flavors and offer samples to try if you’re unsure which one to get. I usually go for a cone and two flavors of ice cream. The gooey butter cake is sooooo good I cant resist getting it when I come in. The store is very clean, organized, and very cute! The staff is always friendly. They offer indoor and outdoor seating. Highly recommend this to be your dessert stop!

Best ice cream in Durham! They have really delicious dairy free options that don't taste chalky at all (usually my biggest complaint at other ice cream shops). Their waffle cones are delicious, though we normally get the 3 scoop bowl - very economical if you have a picky toddler (perfect for 2 adults and 1 toddler).
Only 2 complaints: I don't love the outdoor seating area being in a parking lot. I wish they would bring back their water pitcher so I didn't have to buy boxed water.

Pretty good service, line moved quickly, outdoor seating in the shade is available, small parking lot attached which is great for accessibility considering it’s downtown

So glad to find Jeni's in Durham! We tried bramblerry which was delicious and brown butter which was okay for our taste. The ambience is very nice. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. Would be back to try other flavors.

Amazing ice cream with fun and exquisite flavor profiles. They do chocolate ice cream really good here if you like chocolate flavors (both milk and dark). There are also a few dairy-free ice cream (coconut base). My all time favorite is the brambleberry crisp. Get the waffle cone!
