I ordered the flounder, and my brother ordered the wings — both were absolutely amazing! It’s been a long time since I’ve had wings this big and flavorful. The fish was seasoned perfectly and cooked just right. We’ll definitely be coming back for more.

You know what? Hell yeah… this is a great little stop for those days when you just want a solid fish plate without spending an arm and a leg.
I’m not mad at it… make sure you get that lemon pepper seasoning on the fish… 10/10.
Greens? Bussin’.
Mac? Ehh, 5/10.
Okra? Solid 7/10.
But that frozen lemonade? Boiiiiiii… 10000/10.

I tried J & J's today on a whim because I was in the area. I had their 2 Item combo with fried wings and fried catfish with max n cheese and collard green and slice bread instead of hushpuppies. I also got an order of their banana pudding. EVERYTHING WAS DELICIOUS. I had to pull over in Brier Creek because I couldn't wait until I got home. You could absolutely tell the fish and chicken was fried to order and we'll worth the 15 minute wait through their drive through. I will definitely be back to try their other selections. Lord help me to not go here every single time I have a hankering for delicious southern food.

I never wanted to do a review so bad! Food was horrid. Nothing was fresh. Fish was slimy and had a weird cloudy color to it. chicken tasted like dirty old meat. Fries had a weird texture and soaked in grease, they were definitely old. No flavor, hush puppies looked terrible and taste terrible. Don not order from here! It was my first time and definitely my last. Whoever was in the kitchen on 06/05/2026 between 12-1 pm, QUIT cause your heart not in it anymore. Eeeeyyyyyuuucckkk!!! I recently seen a review where a guy had a ROACH in his collard greens!!!!! Note to self, always check the reviews FIRST..

Open late, placed my order at nearly 11pm and the gentleman was courteous & knowledgeable. At pickup, my semi particular order was perfect. Everything was fresh, crispy, seasoned lovely, and not at all greasy. Of the items we tried, the jumbo shrimp was the standout. Delicious! And for the size, amount, and quality(no poop)- extremely reasonably priced. Second, the Gizzards. An impulse add but I’m so glad I did. I feel like I never had gizzards prepared properly until trying these. Then, Gyros! Gotta love late night Gyros. Slightly light on the protein, but still delicious, fresh, and presented nicely. The sides were fresh and as good as anticipated- great slaw, seasoned fries, your basic green beans, baked Mac & cheese was creamy & good as is; I could see maaaybe someone salt ‘n peppering their own but it was good. Strange hush puppies but they did the trick- Woof! Shhhh, here..
I’ll be returning very soon to fill the craving. Thank you for such a fantastic meal and professional service.
