Date night with the hubby. He has been craving fried catfish. This did not disappoint! The fish was crispy and well seasoned. It is served over red beans and rice. So good!

We have tried the downtown location and was happy to have one closer to home, we were greeted promptly by the Hostess and seated immediately. Our server Alannah was very friendly and attentive. I like the water that they bring to the table and leave it for you. I ordered the Wade's Pork nachos which were ok but I could have done without the cheddar cheese sauce as it got cold, it kinda congealed and not very appealing. My daughter ordered the burger on Texas toast but the toast became soggy so she only ate the top with her burger. My husband had the hamburger steak plate with Mashed potatoes and green beans. We were checked on several times by the server and a gentleman who appeared to be in management. We will be back to try other menu options.

Excellent food and exceptional people. The pulled pork was just like home, and all the sides were incredibly fresh. The garlic green beans were delicious, and we already have our next meals picked out! Will and Dave were awesome, highly attentive, and made the dining experience fun and enjoyable. Really glad this opened up near us!

New location. Wonderful service and energy. Everyone dining seemed pleased with their meals. I enjoyed the eggs Benedict while friends raved about the shrimp and grits.

Food was ok, seasoning was light for a southern establishment but everything was cooked well and it did taste good. The menu isn't too extensive but you should find something to peak your interest on the menu. Key lime pie Mason jar desert was good in flavor but difficult to scoop out. Will try again.

I enjoyed my experience at It’s a Southern Thing. I like that they leave a bottle of water at the table instead of having to have my glass refilled. I ordered the fried green tomatoes- they were incredible! Not greasy, a good amount of pimento cheese and the bacon jam on the side is a wonderfully complimentary flavor. Server was friendly and checked on us just enough. I look forward to going back again.

This restaurant is a great representative of the food industry. They have some of the best-mannered and kind staff that I’ve ever met in a restaurant. All of the dishes that came to the table were presented well and the table enjoyed their meals. I would like to come back and try other dishes to give a more accurate review of the food. I only was able to try the crab dip, nachos, and BLT salad during this visit. The nachos, while good, could use some flavor improvement. The salad and the and dip were great. Other dishes at the table, like the Mac and cheese and chicken & biscuits looked absolutely amazing.

So excited to have this fantastic restaurant location open. The bourbon selection is awesome (and apparently will only expand), the food is gourmet comfort food and the mixed drinks are delicious and inspired!

This place is amazing! I've eaten here twice and the food was incredible both times. Bonus that they make outstanding drinks and have a massive bourbon selection. Looking forward to watching some football games here in the future.

I've been waiting for this place to open for months and they finally have. The staff are all very friendly, the owner is around talking to customers, definitely a welcoming atmosphere. I had the Fried Catfish and it was excellent. They have 10 beers on tap, others in cans/bottles, a few wines and a large selection of whiskey and bourbon. I'll be making many return visits in the future.

Noticed that there were people in the restaurant and realized they were open today. Turns out they were doing a soft opening. I have been so excited to visit and GOODNESS was it worth it. I got the buffalo chicken dip and the Pete’s loaf - both were every bit of amazing. The owner and the wait staff were so kind and friendly. Excited for the businesses’ future! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
