I come here at least once a week, sometimes 3. Lady working the window in Saturdays has a nasty attitude. I’ll never stop coming here but I’ll stop coming on the days she works. Everyone else working the window is so nice and says hello. This lady just stares at you until you order… doesn’t bother me that bad but to ask me if I want a hush puppies or rolls and give me the opposite of what I ask for is crazy.. starting to feel like I’m being pranked lol. This has only happened when she takes my order…I’m currently staring at hushpuppies although I asked for a roll. Why ask what I want if you gonna give me what you want anyway??? good food tho for the price I love itttt. But get that mean lady off the window. Only time she talks is to say the total.

Filling & delicious food prepared by some Amazing people! Everyone is always welcoming and the portions are just right. Love that the menu is simple, but still has something for everyone.

Great Southern cooking! It may not be the fanciest place in town, but they serve some of the best Southern food around. Today we had the fried chicken and country-style steak, and both were excellent. The kids absolutely love the mac and cheese. They don't have it every day, so it's always a treat when they do. We eat here a couple of times each month, and everyone in the family looks forward to it. If you're looking for delicious home-style cooking and friendly service, this place is hard to beat.

Southern cooking the way I remember it. Super friendly people with a very convenient drive-thru window. There's no question that this is a true local joint - in the best sense of the word (there are so few left...) There's a good reason they've been fixing up plates for so many years. Very satisfying food at a great price.

We are visiting the area and have been looking for a more local and southern cooking restaurants to try while here, sick of the same old corp chains. This place is not the fanciest nor does it have the largest menu. Very simple few dishes a day and from our first visit I have to say they do it very well. My wife had the chicken dumplings (One of her fav dishes) and she raved about it the whole time while finishing every bit of it (seldome happens for her). I had to try the southern fried chicken and it was excellent, juicy and crispy flavorful coating. I also ordered an extra piece of fried fish which from the looks of it I could not resist. The fish was even better than the chicken, we had our 2 year old grandson with us and he could not get enough of the fish. It is hard to find good fish done like this.
I normally don't write reviews but the main dishes at this place I just had to comment, give it a try, its truly home cooking no franchise flavors here!!
I hope we get a chance to go back again before we leave
