Hillandale is as good as it gets. Approachable for all (both in price and environment), great food at the grill, a challenging course they keep in great shape and some truly wonderful folks who run it all. If you're looking for a place to play, this is it!

I regularly had the pleasure of playing a round at Hillandale, and the experience was top-notch from start to finish. The hospitality began the moment I walked into the clubhouse, where the staff is always incredibly kind and makes the check-in process feel like a warm welcome rather than just a transaction. That friendly energy continued onto the first tee with a starter who was both professional and genuinely welcoming, setting a perfect tone for the day. Once on the course, I am equally impressed by the ranger’s ability to keep the pace of play moving smoothly without ever making us feel rushed—a rare balance to strike. Of course, the real star of the show was the turf; the greens were in spectacular condition, rolling fast and true on every single hole. It’s clear the maintenance team and the staff take immense pride in this facility, and it made for a truly memorable day of golf.

Hillandale is a golf purists dream. It is the type of place where you find scratch players playing right along side 25 handicappers and having a blast doing it. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the place feels like a golf community. For those saying the rangers are rude, people who keep pace and don't act foolish won't have the rangers give them a hard time. John, Chris, Scott, Bill, and Mike are all good guys who keep the first tee clear and the course moving. More places like Hillandale, please.

Fairly short layout but great value. Greens are about as good as you’ll find at a public course. Naturally it can get a little crowded.

Incredible value. Course condition, staff, pro shop, grill, all top notch for an unbeatable price. First time, felt welcomed and had a great round. We'll be back.

The course was fun, but the staff were not super friendly. They were pretty rude to us, especially the starter. He told me “I can tell” that i’m a beginner. I did not have my own clubs because I was going to share my friend’s clubs, which we didn’t know wasn’t allowed. Instead of kindly telling us that was the case, the starter was rude about it telling us that it was “CLEARLY stated on the website.” When giving back my rental clubs, the dude accused us of missing a club. It was in the bag, he just didn’t see it. The course was fun, but the staff ruined my experience.

Nice place to hit some balls and practice. Friendly staff. The course looks inviting, too.
