Hillandale staff is awesome. Great knowledge of the history of Hillandale. Truly dedicated to the community. The pro shop proces are affordable. Course is well maintained. All combined provide an excellent golf experience.

The course has been around for like 100years. The course has an interesting layout..We played right after a heavy rain and the course was saturated..Having said that, this is a very fun course to play. Staff was amazing from the pro shop front counter, to the snack bar, to the starter..very nice, very friendly people. Really good experience! Definitely will play again!

Very nice , friendly staff and golfers I’ve ran into there. The on-site grill is also very good and convenient. Great practice area.

Hillandale is a great course for the price. Anyone complaining about course maintenance should recognize that without charging 4x as much, it would be impossible to keep this course in shape similar to surrounding courses (that do charge 4x as much). It would be fun to see how great this layout could be with better drainage and maintenance. If they had the greens running fast, grew up the rough, and tightened the fairways a bit with this layout, it would be a very challenging course. As it is, three of the par 3s are challenging and a few par 4 pose risk reward decisions. Most of the holes are pretty forgiving though. Plus the prices (including beer) can’t be beat.

This is a great muni course! It’s generally kept in good shape and the greens are great for the price. It’s hard to beat $13 for a walking round of 9 on a weekday. The course has lots of twists and turns that keep it interesting and fun green complexes.

Busiest course a round. If you’re in a hurry to play check it out. But it’s a right of passage in golf around here. It’s worth it.

Played here on June 16. The fairways were spotty, sparsely grown in and hard; bunkers were ill-kept with little loose sand; and the greens were hairy and bumpy. Overall mediocre conditions. There was a lightning warning sounded just after we had finished the fifth hole and to the course's credit, that was closely followed by staff driving out to explain options to players and clear the course. We opted for a rain check, then were told in the golf shop that the cost would be prorated, not a full amount for the replay. Is that the new norm for rain checks?
