High Dive Durham

High Dive brings a fresh take on a fun, “stylish dive bar” experience, which is no surprise given it’s owned by the same people behind Bar Virgle and Annexe. It’s easy to make yourself at home surrounded by Durham memorabilia as you munch on free, freshly popped popcorn, shuffle through the vintage jukebox, catch a game on TV, order some melty cheese nachos with a cheap beer, or play a round of pool darts, foosball or pinball. There are also non-alcoholic beers and cocktails on the menu.

It’s a dive bar, but really, it’s just an unpretentious place to drink decent stuff at a great price with cool chill people.

I found this gem after a show at DPAC. I had intentions of bar hopping but stayed here the entire night. The bartender Gabe is one of the best bartenders I’ve interacted with. As a bartender myself, I’ve interacted with my fair share. He’s friendly and outgoing. I didn’t have to wait for drinks as he was attentive as soon as I approached the bar. I had a great time shooting pool, playing darts, and talking to the locals. If there were metal signs with their logo, I’d have bought one to add to my collection. I’ll definitely be back.

Literally the best bartenders you could ask for at a bar. James, Gabe, and Drew are the absolute best. And as a queer person, I have never felt unsafe at this bar.

Great place to get drinks late with friends. The jukebox is so cool and free darts and shuffle board.

Bar tender was pretty decent and gave me a nice recommendation. Vibes were good. The rest of my table all got food which met the description. 👍👍 would recommend.

A really fun place to grab drinks and watch sports. Definitely has a "man cave" vibe with the pool and AC/DC pinball, but I liked it. Hope they thrive at this location, I definitely want to have more game days here!
