Not quite as good as most Hampton Inns. Room itself (suite) was great. Sheets weren't all-cotton and mattress wasn't as comfortable as they usually are. Check out from phone wasn't working. Staff was great. There was a charge for parking on the lot, which we haven't seen before at Hamptons, and wasn't apparent when booking. Clue to management: attention to a few details needed. But all in all, met our needs. We'll probably be back dur to the location, and I'll update the review if things are better.

As a Diamond member, I have stayed at plenty of Hamptons and so I have a point of reference. Customer service at checkin was poor- it could have served as a video at a training session of “what NOT to do when checking someone in”. Also $10 for parking?? Was not warned of that at time of reservation. We had to leave early before breakfast so could not evaluate that. Room was clean. Location close to highway but no noise in room. But other issues are enough for me not to recommend this hotel.

We usually stay here when traveling to Duke or UNC hospitals. So, I was surprised to find that this hotel now charges $10/night (per space) to park in what used to be a free parking lot. It seems kind of silly to charge hotel customers an add-on fee for parking when you have 50+ spaces open and unfilled in your parking lot. Also, I wasn't thrilled that you could only pay for parking through an online app and couldn't just have it added to the hotel bill. Just what the world needs... another parking app.

This is an updated review from my review two years ago. For over 4 years, the Hampton Inn Chapel Hill on Farrington Road has served our lodging needs when we frequently visit UNC Medical Center for appointments. We typically stay here once or twice every two months. Since our last stay in June 2024, we arrived to find we now have to pay $10.00 a day to park. Then at check in, learned a $20.00 incidental charge is added but is credited back at checkout. As a Silver Hilton Honor member, we were not offered complimentary water. The lady at the front desk was very polite and offered a Pass for the parking fee, but I ended up paying the parking fee as I was worried I would be ticketed or towed. I actually went back downstairs to purchase waters with cash, but I couldn’t do that either nor add to our room charge. There is an ATM in the lobby but unsure what it is for if they can’t take cash for sodas, water, snacks. This location has always been convenient, clean, and safe. The staff have always been wonderful to us. But with added costs for hotel parking, plus parking costs associated with medical care at UNC Hospitals, we will be looking for another hotel. I do not know what has changed since June but unfortunately this was our last stay.

Fatima saved the day when our outdoor wedding rehearsal had to be moved indoors due to torrential rains. Our room block was at a different Hampton Inn where the ballroom was fully booked for the day. Fatima was able to book a space at the last minute at her location to keep the rehearsal on track. The room was clean and set up school room style with an aisle down the middle. Exactly what we needed. Wonderful service!

We've stayed in a lot of Hampton Inns on road trips and this one was simply lacking. Unfortunately, it wasn't very clean. Upon check in, we noticed used tissues between the mattress and headboard, and ants and spiders in the room (and on the bed). We mentioned this to the front desk upon checking in and out and they said they would "notify the cleaning manager for the future" but honestly didn't seem to care. Our room was also very dark which didn't help the cleanliness feel - our window faced directly to another side of a building, probably one foot away. It was almost comical, opening the blinds to a wall. The positive is that it was very quiet. I understand it's hard to run a business these days, but this one could use some attention and TLC.
