I LOVE this place. They’re always super nice, well staffed, and somehow my prescriptions are all cheaper here than they were at Harris teeter. They even had the niche medication that I used to only be able to get online. -
This is one the best pharmacies in the state. Before I had insurance it was the only place I could afford to pay out of pocket. The pharmacists are always friendly with me but I treat them respectfully. They are busy and I've watched them deal with plenty of irate customers with tact. -
Just a really positive experience. Forgot to call in advance and they had all my medications after a short wait. Thanks Patricia for being so sweet! -
Worst pharmacy in Durham. They get you to pay full for a partial fill. No callback or follow-up call if and when they can fulfill dispensing all your meds. When you call back they are either going to say supplier and insurance issue. No offer of a solution i.e. refund and at one point someone didnt even know how to transfer the prescription so I can collect from a different pharmacy. The staff are atleast helpful but the manager who is meant to help resolve the issue does not have any ounce of contriteness and gives you a laundry list of excuses on why things are not done before she grudgingly coughs up a sorry remark of im sorry. She should be setting a culture in the system but I dont think she is a very good example of that. Beware and run to other pharmacies if you can. This pharmacy is not worth your precious time. -
When everything works as it should the pharmacy is great. Ms.Patricia and Bobby are good folks. Love them both. They are kind, efficient, know our names, and get the job done quickly. But there are some downfalls. It takes 10-15 minutes to get someone on the phone ALL the time. Delivery is either late or doesn't come. When it does come they just hang it on the door or ground in plain sight at my front door. I live close to road so everyone can see my front porch. I don't need anyone stealing my meds because i don't know they came. I don't get calls, texts or updates about my meds even though they have all of information needed to do so. Lines are long and here lately have to wait 20+ minutes for a medication sent out to them days ago yet it's never ready. Also there is ALWAYS homeless folks outside the door begging for money or cigarettes. I don't mind helping folks every now and then but these folks are very aggressive to get what they want from you. Honestly thought about switching quite a few times these past few months because larger pharmacies have WAY less people and it don't take that long to answer phones, fill prescriptions or get the job done quickly. Gurleys has 15+ people working on any given day. They should be making the job easier, not stand there chatting like they are on a social call rather than at work with customers to be taken care of first. Very disappointed with how things have been lately. Still not sure if I'm gonna switch, but I am really thinking about it.
