We are visiting from Michigan and drove past and saw how busy they were. Figured it must be good. So glad we stopped! The food is worth the wait! The cheddar grit bowl was outstanding and they let me customize it with some wonderful heirloom tomatoes and their incredibly delicious sausage! My husband loved his breakfast of eggs, sausage, biscuit, sausage and potatoes as well. Thank you for the great breakfast and offering delicious gluten free options.

The food was good, but I only wish if they had more vegetarian options. I thought it would serve some very good milkshakes but even that was kind of okay. The quantity was good enough but I didn’t find any other veg options. So not a good option if you are a vegetarian.

This is a great spot to catch drinks or dinner. Someone had shared about this place and I am glad that my wife and I decided to check it out. Great fresh food! Very cool vibe with the roof top seating.

This is a casual lunch/brunch restaurant. The food is good and the staff is friendly. You order first then pick your table. It took a while to get our food, but we went on a busy Sunday early afternoon. The chicken salad sandwich is great and "the slammer" which is a breakfast entree is great too.

Great burgers and homemade chips! The "impossible" (veggie) burger is my favorite veggie burger around. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Great outdoor seating for large and small groups.

Cinnamon rolls will keep you coming back. Grits bowls hit a craving but would have liked it to be thicker. Like the Turkey sausage options as a non pork eater.

As if we didn’t love this place enough! The cinnamon rolls are to die for, the biscuits are delicious, eggs are perfectly done. The women who work up front are just delightful every time we go there. To top it all off they have a real legit changing table in the bathroom! Thanks Grub for being awesome.

The staff are super helpful. There are plentiful gluten free options as well as smoothies and shakes. I just wish it was open later than 9 because I have late night cravings for their food. I particularly like the sweet potato fries and chocolate raspberry milkshake.

This place is out of this world, I came for breakfast/brunch with my girlfriend and was thoroughly impressed. The look of the diner-style eatery in the old fashioned gas station is just impeccable. This restaurant looks like something from a film or a video game while not looking tacky or like it's trying too hard. We were able to eat on the roof where there is covered as well as uncovered seating and a TV for those interested. The food was delicious I had eggs with cheese, bacon, home fries, grits, and a biscuit. My only complaints being that the biscuit was a little dry and the grits a little watery. But seriously those complaints truly are small potatoes especially considering how delicious their small potatoes are. (Seriously the home fries taste like a more refined version of a Bojangles fry and I couldn't stop eating them). The service was friendly (although the waiter did have a bit of a laugh when I asked for silverware not knowing that I could just grab some from a station on the roof, I get it though) and the price was pretty reasonable for food, water, and atmosphere of this quality. Would I come back here? Absolutely!

Great restaurant. The best part is that you can sit up on the rooftop balcony which is a lot of fun. Their food is delicious as well.

Hubs had the Cowgirl Bowl - good mix of flavors including the brisket and grits. The results of the Tabasco vs Texas Pete taste test? Texas Pete for the win. The traditional Rocket Man with eggs over easy, turkey sausage, taters and buttery biscuit was delicious. Highly recommend the Blue Devil smoothie. Great place for brunch, even if on a tight budget. 🍳🍽️🥤

I had been there twice. One is for breakfast that I ordered The Slammer plate, another is for dinner that I ordered Ribs. Food are very good and prices are reasonable. The server is passionate, friendly and awesome. Here is definitely the best place I love in Durham.

Best burgers ever, juicy and tasteful. the fried sweet potato is crispy and sweet. We went on a Saturday for lunch. There was a line, waited 20 minute to order and another 20 minutes for food. But it all worth it!

So this has become our go to spot for a good, fresh, delicious brunch over the weekend! The turkey sausage is my fave and the pancakes and biscuits are really good. Food comes out quickly plus friendly, helpful staff. What more can you ask for?

We had a wonderful 1st time experience! I ordered the Cowgirl bowl & my husband had Buckster's hash bowl. The food was amazing and the service was great too. Fresh ingredients & nice portions. We can't wait to go back for dinner!

Just found this place...from the smell of the bbq smoke...walked in and greeted by friendly staff. Ordered pulled pork sandwich...was excellent. Was told all items are homemade. They had cakes and baked goods on display. Will definitely go back and strongly recommend going.

Lots of well-prepared sandwiches and burgers, with at least one oyster mushroom burger for vegans. Sides are tasty. I had tailgate slaw (yum!), my wife had the couscous (also yum!), and our son had the potatoes, which appear hand-cut of the hash brown persuasion, but baked brown to delicious perfection. People are friendly and the cooks are very good at their craft. Nothing pretentious. Prices are quite modest for the quality and portion sizes. We are new to Durham Green to Go boxes, and Grub put our takeout order in ours, making the experience even better. Our order, true to the promise on the phone, was ready in 15 minutes. You can certainly eat in, either indoors or out, and there's also a rooftop dining area that puts you above the traffic. Give Grub a try!

Delicious, clean, and affordable. If you’re looking for a cool brunch place on a bright and sunny day this is a great place to soak it all in. Kid friendly and beer-loving dad friendly. We enjoyed the Country Road biscuit, Cowgirl grits bowl, kids split pancakes and a side of fruit. All that and a beer for less than $35.

I got the trey-something burger they offer and the burger meat itself tasted like nothing. I even ate just the meat to see if I was wrong. All the stuff on the burger made it decent none the less. There was also a really long wait time and they didn't seem all theat busy.

Many gluten free options! Long line but quick service and comfortable once we sat down - a bit hectic feeling on a weekend morning with a toddler but the community feel and friendly service helped a lot. Super yummy meal, good quality and reasonable prices. Overall - great! Will be back!

This place is awesome!!!!!!!! Hard work by owners paid off it looks great and the food is so good! Everything that we had was delicious. Props to this being owned by women because one of the bathrooms has an actual nice changing table. No idea how much I appreciated that for my daughter! It's those little touches that make this place a cut above.

Be warned that you have to order at the counter and lines are long. Best to sit at the bar or go with other people so one can go order and others can procure a table. Food was good except the grits. I've yet to find good southern style grits in North Carolina.

Our go-to spot for quick, delicious dinner. Everything we've had has been super tasty. Try the Mediterranean tuna, airline chicken, chicken fried chicken, corn fritters, and brussel sprouts. All favorites of ours. The sangria is one of the best I've ever had too. Staff is very warm and welcoming.

This place is great. The patio is perfect for a nice day and there is a tv on the rooftop patio so you can enjoy a game. The line was really long but it moved quickly. Once you place your order at the register inside, you sit down and the food comes to you. Both of our breakfasts were delicious. Their bacon was really good. I can’t wait to go again when the weather warms up.

Met family who had all traveled to the Triangle (myself included) at Grub for brunch. I just got done writing an email to Grub as the service by Rita, the cashier, was that good. Honestly some of the best service I have experienced at any restaurant ever. By the time I entered the restaurant (I was last), Rita knew everyone by name and was asking my family about school/work/travel, etc. She was phenomenal and made a wonderful connection with everyone. Food was also very good--I got the Jeweled Bird and everyone else got breakfast food. The chicken salad was very good and the homemade chips were fantastic. We finished with cinnamon rolls which were still warm as they had just come out of the oven--hard to not love a warm cinnamon roll. It wasn't too sugary or cinnamony which meant you could actually eat and enjoy more than a bite or two. The atmosphere is super cool as well--Grub used to be a gas station so the outside looks kind of funky and the inside is sort of retro diner meets modern. Definitely a comfortable place to enjoy breakfast or brunch. Prices are super reasonable--brunch was less than $60 for the 5 of us even including dessert. Would absolutely return next time I'm in Durham.

We enjoyed a late breakfast here and were able to sit outside, which was nice. The staff was friendly and the food came out pretty quickly, too. Everyone at the table liked what they ordered, and left feeling satisfied. We will definitely be returning. Edit: Grub has become one of my go to spots. The food is delicious and quick, and the staff are wonderful. I love the brussel sprouts burger, which is hard to eat because the sprouts want to fall out but so worth the effort. The wings and ribs are a big hit with my son. And we both love the homemade chips.
