The restaurant is truly a gem! Remarkable food, I kid you not. We started with the sambusas, then moved on to beef tibs, doro wat, red lentils, yellow lentils, and the collard greens. The owner is such a great guy, and hooked us up with the last Ethiopian beer! We will be back!!

The main entrees were good, as were the sides (beats, sinig karya but didn't actually eat the jalapeno, etc). Got zilzil tib beef (was dryer than expected but the buttered onions were great, metin shiro was good, yemisir kik was great, gomen was good. The injera was too sour and mushy, but with the main entrees it was fine. Plenty of food to share for 2 people ok if you get 2 entrees. Service was pleasant and attentive, and the restaurant was clean and well located. I'd recommend fixing the injera. For the area, it's expensive, but it also may be inflation related.

The food was very flavorful. Both chicken and vegetarian options were extremely delicious. The injera bread was fantastic. The lentil side salad looked modest, but it was also bursting with flavors. Every dish was flavorful but not too spicy. The ambience was nice. We visited on a Saturday evening and it was a little loud. It is great that they have both indoor and outdoor seating. Would visit again.

The food is good and satisfying. Lots of vegan and vegetarian options to choose from. Ample parking (on the side of the restaurant).

I love injera with its slightly tangy/sour flavor and stretchy texture, and its place as the base of most Ethiopian dishes makes it feel vaguely like an exotic deconstructed pizza. The dishes here have been solid the several times I’ve been. Good flavor, solid heat, and filling portions. Descent beer and cocktail selection too. Atmosphere is whatever, roughly on par with a diner, but for real you’re gonna eat with your hands and enjoy it so dig in.

This is the place you will be filled with an African dish in Durham! You will love this place. The Ethiopian dishes are extremely outstanding. You don't feel yourself eating, because you will be enjoying the dish, you can even forget that you are now full 🤣🤣🤣 The fried cheese cake here is amazing and the lamb meat 🍖 😋🤝🏽

We loved everything about this place! The two young ladies that served us we're so kind and hospitable. They made great suggestions as this was our first time experiencing Ethiopian food. The food was delicious the music was great. We definitely will be back. I can't remember the dish with the cornbread cake and collard greens, but it was delicious!

Unfortunately, I think our experience would have been much improved by visiting on a weeknight when the restaurant was much slower. The servers were trying their best it seemed, but the restaurant was almost packed and I just don't think they had the staff to accomodate. Everyone was friendly, but we were waterless, appetizer never came, and we had to ask several times to ask for the check and to pay (we ending up having to go to the bar). My food was amazing though! I had the Doro Wot with beet salad and it was spicy, flavorful and delicious. My partner got the lamb tibs and they were a little overcooked. We really Ethiopian but won't be going back.
