We had an amazing waiter, Chris was very professional and handled our table with class. The food was amazing and will definitely fill you up. We had the 3 platter appetizers fried egg, crab and collard dip and wings) with like 6 or 7 options to choose from. Of the appetizers my favorite was the wings, best wings I have ever had.. And the fried Catfish with asparagus and rice pilaf was amazing.. Everything's had soooo much flavor.. was not salty… you better not ask for no salt and pepper lol. Cause you won’t need it..
Ok cant forget the great Host, Grace she was so hospitable and very sweet, she even came by to the table to check on us a few times. asked what we ordered and was just as excited as we were about the food..
Desert Peach Cobbler was bussing…..
10/10 for us.

Flavor Hills is definitely a new favorite in Durham! The catfish, pilaf, and asparagus were honestly some of the best I’ve ever had, perfectly seasoned and cooked just right. The chicken wings were surprisingly juicy and tender all the way to the bone.
Our waiter, Chris, was amazing. Super friendly, attentive, and genuinely made the experience great. My drink never went empty, which is a huge deal for me and something a lot of places overlook. The rest of the staff was just as welcoming and personable.
Highly recommend giving this spot a try! I’ll definitely be back.

Disappointed Birthday Experience at Flavor Hills – Durham
On December 5th, my family (Darnell, Pat & Rod) took me out to celebrate my 61st birthday at Flavor Hills in Durham. We had a 7 PM reservation and were warmly greeted upon arrival. After a short wait at the bar, we were seated and welcomed by our amazing server, Jasmine, who ensured our cocktails and appetizers were timely and perfect. Throughout the evening, Jasmine, Ashley (management), and Chris checked in on us regularly.
Unfortunately, what should have been a wonderful celebration turned sour. We waited over an hour and a half for our main entrees. Despite Jasmine and Ashley repeatedly checking with the kitchen, we later learned that the owners and their guests—who arrived after us—had their meals expedited ahead of paying patrons. This was extremely disappointing, especially on such a special occasion.
While Jasmine and Ashley apologized profusely (and the delay was not their fault), the experience left a bitter taste. Owners should prioritize engaging with guests and ensuring fairness, not “flossing like a boss” while others wait. For a newly opened establishment, this was not the impression we hoped for.
I truly hope Flavor Hills|Durham takes this feedback to heart and implements changes to ensure all guests feel valued and treated equitably.

Front the front desk service to the end waitress this place is a 10/10!! The name suits its dishes- FLAVOR!!!! Christopher was a wonderful waitress. Very knowledgeable with the menu. Everything had flavor and tasted wonderful! We will be back for brunch! Oh The Spaulding 🥃 was amazing!!

Whew, Flavor Hills is pure pressure and FOOD HEAVEN! From beginning to end, this dining experience is precisely what the Bull City has been missing. Ashley, the manager, greeted me, and my server, Chris, was accommodating and made perfect food pairing suggestions. I already have my next reservation, and I'm excited about the basement experience that's in the works. Thank you, Flavor Hill, for adding to the culture of Durham, NC! ❤️
