We were just out for a stroll and became sightseers at the park. During this unprecedented time of division, it was neat seeing the park being enjoyed by mixes of ages and races.

I'd normally give this place five stars, but there was too many skaters with poor skate park etiquette today.

This park is core. Those who know, know.
The bowl is for real and not a miniramp disguised as a bowl. Get some!

A great place for skaters, scooters and onlookers. Clean, lots of room for users to share and overall a respectful, safe and friendly environment. Knowing the general etiquette of using a park would be beneficial to learn in advance so your child or user will have the most positive experience.
My son rides a stunt scooter and rides like the rest of the bunch that skate, he uses the pool, bowl, rails and ramps with no issue and has been welcomed by the seasoned skaters from day one. It is a wonderful community of people, in fact we moved to Durham so we could be closer to this wonderful park. Come on out, you will have a great time as a skater, scooter, parent or onlooker, there is room for everyone of all ages and skill level.

Friendly on goers nice pedestrians and free water. Skaters are a major influence in skateboarding in the triangle area and to companies which tour this park

My hometown local, plenty of ledges banks and stair sets...could use a upgrade to add more straight grind ledges and fill in non needed areas of grass in between areas of the skatepark..most out of town patrons enjoy more than the locals...has good potential.

Durham Skate Park is a regularly visited location for my 13 year old son. He can spend hours at a time there, learning new tricks, meeting new skaters, and just hanging out. It's a nice, family friendly atmosphere. The older teens and adults are always kind to younger kids, like my son. I typically read while he skates, but the farmer's market and food truck rodeos are sometimes going on close by, so it's a great location that offers something for everyone. Also, it's located directly across from the police depot, so I've never seen any signs of shady activity, which brings me great comfort as a parent.

Really an amazing park. I'm glad it's here in Durham. It is quite aggressive and difficult. It doesn't have much to offer for a beginner skater. Start off on your block at home. Then try duke's campus. And then hit this park.

This park has terrible flow and a bowl that I've yet to hear anyone day anything good about. If You're in town and looking fora place to ride for the day them it'll suit you. Other than that It's easily burned out on and lacks flow. Although.. It's better than nothing, given the area, they could've done a lot more.

The flow could be better, but it's got plenty for beginner and advanced skaters. The people here are always very friendly and polite. When it's nice out this place gets PACKED.
