Durham's first food hall concept has a range of vendors that any palate will appreciate. The casual, modern space has a centralized bar area surrounded by foodie favorites like Locals Seafood bringing in fresh fish from the coast and Ex-Voto with their handcrafted take on crunchwraps and burritos. The Durham Food Hall, specifically Everything Bagels and Liturgy Beverage for a caffeine fix, is an obvious choice for those exploring the Durham Farmers' Market on a lovely Saturday morning, but also is hopping all times and days of the week. Check their event schedule for monthly and quarterly programming. Durham Food Hall is open all day for dining, drinks, celebrations, meetings, a quiet place to work or a quick bite on the go. It also has three private event spaces and a large public area to accommodate groups of all sizes.

I went here as part of a group seeking lunch. I liked that there were multiple restaurants to pick from, that you could order ahead in addition to making an order at the counter. Service was quick at where I ate. My food was ok, but not something I would return to have again. The noise level was too much and the seating was not very comfortable. I did appreciate that they had a dedicated water and ice machine. It's really hard to get free water at a restaurant sometimes. Overall, the concept is not my thing at all - but apparently many do like being there as it was quite busy.

I stopped in for lunch on a Saturday and really enjoyed the variety at Durham Food Hall. There were multiple spots I would happily order from on a return visit—Mexican, Asian, burgers, seafood, a full bar, ice cream, coffee, and more. It’s the kind of place where everyone in a group can find something they like. My wife is gluten‑free, and Local Seafood was a standout for her. They use a dedicated fryer, so she was able to enjoy fried Calabash‑style seafood and fries—something she rarely gets to have. Her food was flavorful, and her order was ready in about 10 minutes. I went with Corner Yaki and had the Karaage Bowl, which was a really good chicken-and-rice dish. The atmosphere was lively but not overwhelming. It was busy at lunchtime, but lines moved quickly. Finding seating took a little effort, and because it’s one big open room, it can get loud with very little to absorb sound. Where I think there’s room for improvement is in the facilities and general upkeep. There are only four single restrooms, and one is staff‑only, so there was a line every time I walked by. For a place made up entirely of food vendors, larger restroom facilities would make a big difference. Cleanliness and stocking also seemed to lag behind the crowd level. Staff were actively cleaning, but the drink stations were out of utensils, had napkins on the counters and floor, and could have used a wipe‑down. The trash area stayed messy throughout my visit. Tables were bussed quickly, but the common areas felt like they needed more frequent attention. Overall, the food and atmosphere were very good, and I’d return for those alone. With expanded restroom capacity and a more efficient approach to keeping shared spaces clean and stocked, it would be an even better experience.

So many options! It feels good to be able to choose multiple locally-owned (and in many cases sourced) restaurants , bars and coffee shops in one place. Pattyboy was my choice this visit and it was solid. The service was excellent and I'd go back again just to have everyone be nice to me, even if the food was bad (which I assure you, it is NOT).

My first time visiting. I will have to come here more often. Everyone's food was delish. We had Korean BBQ bowl, a crunch wrap and queso with churizo (sp?). I will be back, the only issue is parking :-(.

Fun, trendy place. Almost bohemian. Very noisy though. Also, can be very crowded on weekends. I recommend all of the restaurants, really. There is a great selection to choose from. Have a great lunch and then enjoy a nice cup of coffee or a Milklab drink after. My wife and I like to go here after visiting the Farmers Market just down the street on the weekend.

Locals is located in the Liberty warehouse in Dutham. If you're wondering if we enjoyed the whole red snapper (about 1 lb), we did 😆 Just Bones! We were hangry and dug in, fried 🐟hard and crispy on the outside, and perfect on the inside! $30 for this dish with slaw and waffle fries on the side. You can also order smoked oysters 🦪, which I didn't try but was told were very good. Lastly, the kale and garlic salad is tasty!

We tried a couple of different places everything was amazing! Ginger chicken dumplings were good (slightly spicy) The chicken Crunchwrap was delish but i barely at half of it so I’d recommend sharing it with someone if you are planning to try a bunch of stuff The smash burger was chef’s kiss It’s pricey but I assume it’s not cheap to rent space in here - I’m happy to support small businesses any day We’ll be back!

This place has delicious food options- something for everyone. We had pizza, teriyaki chicken, burritos, butter chicken and chips and queso. All delicious. I love how environmental conscious they are as well. The prices were fine and we will be coming back!

This was a spontaneous find. A happening little spot with a broad range of unique foods. Vibrant atmosphere and delicious food. Definitely would visit again and a good place to have a date that’s not isolated to one spot. Desert, dinner, lunch, leisure all in one spot.

Great spot in Durham! It's lively, lots of variety (seafood/indian/burgers/bagels/pizza/Asian/mexican/coffee + boba bar) - mix of people kicking back and having drinks, to families with young kids, to people studying or hanging on their laptops. Good vibe and clean. I was there with my family, pizza and cheese steak pop up were good, I liked my Milk Bar drink and thought the Onigiri was really good. My husband really liked the chorizo burrito, their in house habanero hot sauce was spicy (in a good way!).This is perfect for a large group interested in options, also they have long community tables and I was pleasantly surprised how easy it was to find a table on a busy Sunday afternoon.

Fun vibe here. Packed on weekends. Food is not cheap, but an interesting set of vendors. No tables available during our visit. Line to the bathroom was to the front door.
