This is my local dog park as I live nearby and I have come here for the last 3 years. It's not a very big dog park compared to the others but what I like about it the most is that doesn't get muddy after it rains. The people that come here are very nice and its been a great way to meet my local neighbors and develop a dog community.

While the location is convenient, the dog park itself is pretty small and the gates don't lock properly. Also because it's so close to the highway, it's very noisy. There are some obstacles and tunnels, which are good for enrichment, but they weren't in the best shape.

Clean and completely enclosed. There wasn’t any grass on the ground but the park is on top of a slope so it doesn’t get muddy which was great for a pit stop.

Park is near Interstate 85. Yet it is a relaxing oasis for Adults and Children.

Used to go here as a kid, now I'm here as a depressed adult who quite doesn't want to grow up. Great place to take your kids tho :)

Nice park! Good place to walk and have quick bite. I grew up in this park and went to the pool everyday it was open. Also, once they had water pageants that I would swim in. Love this park!

A lovely playground for kids of all ages. Theres a smaller playground for young toddlers and then a bigger playground for older kids and swings for babies and big kids as well. Also lots of green space for the kids to run around. Will definitely be back often.

Super open space with kind community members. Can't wait for the mural to be painted at the tennis court!

This is the smallest of the DPR dog parks, and there's never been any dogs to play with when we've gone. Maybe because there's noone else there, some users apparently don't clean up their dogs' poop.

Great space for all sorts of activities. The playground hosts some great sets for kids including a couple of the tallest tube slides I've ever seen. Picnic tables and shelters for the area as well. The location also makes it convenient to interstate 85 and downtown Durham. Worth a visit.

It's a nice place to take the kids and have a barbecue. Buy it would be nice if they added a few water thrills for the children.

We love Duke Park. It’s a large playground but in the older side. It has two huge tube slides on the larger play structure, swings and other fun items. There’s a wood chuck flooring. There are bathrooms close by. There are picnics shelters and plenty of shaded grass areas. There is also a smaller play structure for smaller children within walking distance. The parking lot is a decent size and there is also on the street parking. If you’re coming down N. roxboro, there are signs posted leading you there.

This was a decent park. It was clean and playground felt safe. There was little playground for toddlers and a larger playground for the big kids. The toddler playground was very basic and really small. The big kids playground was really big had two very large spiral slides and some swings. The downside is that many of the playground surfaces were burning hot. They had some protective covering but some of it was torn off and needed to be replaced.

Duke Park is a really cool park for children to play and explore. It’s spacious enough to run around, walk around the track, have lunch at the picnic tables and there’s restrooms on site. Every time we visit our children have a blast!!!

Nice park right off the highway - this was great for us because we were on a road trip and just needed a place for my toddler to run and play a bit. It has bathrooms, shady areas, and a good variety of play structures for different ages. There is one set of toddler equipment in the full sun which is too hot to use in the summer. But the main play area has toddler sized equipment in the shade so that wasn't a problem for us. There are very steep, big slides for older kids that I'm sure they enjoy. It's a clean park overall. The bathrooms are just a little dingy but totally functional and fine for park use.

Awesome park BUT BEWARE: the red and blue slides are closed for a few months for maintenance (as of August 2019). Be careful what you promise your kids.

My kids love the variety of equipment to play on. It does get hot in full sun and seating is scarce for adults, but there's a nice wall to sit on.

My almost 3year old son was able to play without having to worry about the other kids bumping into him since there is a large playground and a smaller one down the hill, lots of different things to play on, a bathroom also had his 2nd birthday party at the sheltered area so it's great for everybody! 😁👏♥️
