Signage could definitely be better. I parked at the Science Drive Visitor lot and walked around the outfield wall of the baseball field into a small parking lot. I then descended the stairs and found the sandwich board that serves as the sign to my right as I went down. They had a lot of neat memorabilia. The highlight was walking over to Cameron Indoor to find the doors open and a charity game going on. I took the opportunity to walk around the arena and take it all in.

The museum entrance was really difficult to find and there was no signage. It was also small and mostly featured Coach K and the championship teams. The highlight of the visit was when Coach Kara Lawson came through and greeted my little boy. Sadly, I didn’t know who she was until after the fact! She was really friendly and warm.
The Carolina basketball Museum was by far better than this one. While the Duke campus is spectacular, it is worth the 20 minute drive to Chapel Hill for a better basketball museum.

I was in high school when Laettner and Hurley went on their basketball run of 4 straight final fours! This museum brought back so many memories. Laettner is the greatest college basketball player in the three point era.

It is amazing to see all that Coach K amassed at Duke.

If you are able to visit the Duke campus, don’t miss this museum!

Open on weekends, and free to visit, the Duke Basketball Museum packs a LOT of history, memories, information, passion, and excellence into a small space, right nextdoor to Cameron Indoor Stadium. Revisit the 5 national championships 🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆! Learn about Coach K's leadership role with Team USA and the Olympic gold medals, including the "Redeem Team" with Kobe & LeBron.🥇Follow the paths to the Final Four, see features about Duke's national players of the year, and defensive players of the year. You can even experience the sounds of Cameron Indoor gameday in an interactive booth. 🚩
Doable within half an hour or less if that's all you have, you can dive deeper and learn more if you aren't as rushed. It's very well designed and nicely put together. Enjoy, and GO DUKE! 💯🙌😁

The tour was great. I am not a Duke but I respect the history of Coach Mike. The memories of Duke vs Michigan, Christian Lattner ( The Shot)!! So many more. It’s was just cool to be in the spot.
