Rating should be on service and cleanliness of the hotel rather than whether it needs updating or not. This clearly was in need of branding upgrades for a Hilton but it was very clean and inviting. The staff was great, breakfast and dinner was delicious and reasonably priced. A wonderful and calm place to stay. In terms of Hilton hospitality standards this met the standards. You can ask for anything more. It takes time for Hotels to be updated so don't let that stop you from staying here. Thanks staff for the wonderful job you all are doing. And kudos to the breakfast chef. He did an amazing job. We will be back

The hotel needs some updates. It's old and things are worn. Needs painting everywhere. The bathroom in my room had no exhaust, consequently the ceiling was bubbled and very unsightly and water dripped off the ceiling from the moisture. Bathroom door needs replacing. Carpet in some common areas needs repair or replacement. Ice is not available on every floor. Cleaning could stand some improvement overall. I saw no obvious signs of sanitization. Food is good. Service in the hotel and restaurant was prompt overall. Grounds with the lake, pool and various areas in the back was very pretty. Parking lot and front not so much. Only one paddleboat was available which needs replacing. Be very careful. There was no one to help us although someone did come down to help the people who came after us. Warm cookies were a treat. Lobby was unimpressive. Staff were very nice.

It is a nice hotel but the sauna and jacuzzi were out of service July 2022. The restaurant served good food and the staff was kind and respectful. Breakfast buffet served the basics for $14. Dinner entrees ranged about $30 a plate. I had to call housekeeping to make the beds and change towels. The hotel is tucked behind business centers so not quite in a shopping/recreational location. You definitely need a car to get around.

My family and I choose to stay here every year in July and we throughly enjoy the experience. The hotel staff is fantastic and go above and beyond with their accommodations. The only comment I have is that I wish the hotel would power wash the balcony of rooms that have it. It desperately needs a good cleaning regularly. The bars had some rust on them as well.

The top pro of the hotel is the pool. They’re very serious about only guests entering, which I appreciated. It’s a large indoor/outdoor pool. Seating was good & towels were plentiful. The grounds seemed nice with a pond, volleyball, tennis, and basketball courts. We got a suite with a sofa bed and 2 double/queen beds. I appreciated that the sofa bedding & pillow was in a nice package. The beds were fine. The flooring and furniture was super old and stained. No USB plugs anywhere, which was shocking. Definitely some updates needed. We specifically asked and were told that there was a complementary breakfast buffet in the morning. Imagine our surprise to find that it was a paid breakfast in a restaurant! Even the wording on their paperwork (attaching pic) sure seems unclear. Hoping they add at least a simple breakfast or counsel their employees to be more specific. Overall, would return. Location was good and room was decent for price.

The pool was amazing and worth the price of the room. Bed was hard but had extra pull out couch so that was nice. Didn't try restaurant looked pricey

We had a great time at DoubleTree Suites by Hilton Hotel Raleigh-Durham for a weekend family reunion event. We were very appreciative that the staff was able to help us with an early check-in. Food and beverages were on point. . .and I'm always pleased when the restaurant staff can find me some pineapple juice!

Great hotel! There's a pond in the back along with a beach volleyball court, tennis court, and indoor/outdoor swimming pool! The walking path out back is very calming and the people around are friendly!

The nicest people on the planet work here... The rooms are always neat and comfortable... It's pretty obvious management is on the ball and knows what it's doing!

Nice tennis court and pool. The pool had an interconnecting indoor and outdoor section, which was very nice. Also a good exercise room with ellipticals and weights

The front desk was nice on arrival. But lets get to the point... the sheets and bathroom were fairly clean, but this place needs some major updating. The furniture was well worn and stained. There was no way to charge my phone in the room cause all the outlets and lights did not provide a USB connection. Basically felt like I was in Nicaragua or some other below average hotel. I totally expected a better stay from the price I paid, reading the previous reviews, and it being a DoubleTree Hotel. If you just want a clean bed to lay your head this is it, other than that I would not recommend it.

Double Tree Suites was one of the best stays my husband and I have ever experienced. The customer service, suite, and food and beverage was phenomenal!!

My room wasn't bad. Not top of the line by any measure, but wasn't bad. Kitchen was kind of unappealing, but the food I had was pretty good. Hotel staff was friendly to me. Dark areas in the parking lot at night. That freaked me out a little bit. All in all, this is an okay place to spend the night.

I always stay at a Hilton brand hotel. My stay here was OK until I went to the bar. After going to the bar and meeting Kevin my experience went from OK to AMAZING! He is by far the BEST thing about the hotel. He makes the hotel experience so much better. I will DEFINITELY come here again just because he works there. I was in the area for a doctors appointment at Duke and those are never fun. Kevin made my stay so much better.

It's average to above average for a double tree. The lobby is tiny but the grounds are nice and had it not been so cold, I would have loved to spend a little time outside at least to walk on the path around the pond. Location wise it's easy to get to buy there aren't a whole lot of restaurants nearby it took me about 15 minutes to get to Duke during rush hour

I highly recommend staying here. The rooms are very reasonable and very large. I even had a balcony (ask for the second floor if you want one). Kevin the bartender was fantastic.
