This place was super disappointing. The long island came in a short rocks glass. The second drink was wrong altogether. One of the staff members was throwing up in the bathroom. Another was smoking weed on the patio while wearing a "staff" shirt. After ordering a Reuben they informed us they were out of pastrami. (Reubens have corned beef). The "chicken" nachos were not chicken.... Looked and tasted like brisket.

What a great bar PLUS a HIDDEN gem of a delicious restaurant! Devine's has the best fish and chips in Durham IMO. Plus, their Boston Steak sub sandwich is perfect every time. Their sides are great too. In addition to their fries you can substitute tater tots instead that are crispy and taste way better than the tots we grew up with as kids. My favorite appetizer is their fried macaroni - yes you read right, it is actually breaded fried cheese raviolis and is FANTASTIC - the side of marina with it is perfect. Oh - and wait til you try their chicken wings.... 5 thumbs up.

Devine's is one of the staples of Brightleaf area. The owner (Gene) cares about the community and his customers. It is a great place if you are looking to watch a game and eat some great bar food.

Food was great, unfortunately for the waitress I gave her a 20.00, bill was 9.15. She brought me a 10 in change. I hope she thought 0.85 was a good tip. Don't presume sugar, even the grocery store asks if I want to round up.

Because of the music, dancing and having a really good time, Devine's restaurant was awesome. If the food had been ven palatable at all I could have given it four stars. The band alone was worth five stars. As fine a band as I have heard in any part of the country. But Devine's is a restaurant so I have to consider the food, so three stars it is. But those three stars are for the music. The entertainment was off the chain.
