Always a great spot in Brodhead! I'm a fan of the chicken wings, though in my opinion they aren't very spicy. I appreciate that they have some fun non alcoholic drink options so I never feel like I'm missing out!

If you are looking for good food, friendly staff, this IS NOT the place to find it. This isn’t a “real” restaurant and shouldn’t be listed as such on Google. It is a student center. The food was mediocre at best. Staff very unfriendly. Will not ever go there again. Huge disappointment. Oh the worst part, nowhere to park. Took us 15 minutes to figure out how to get to the restaurant.

I come up to coach the Jon Scheyer Basketball Camp every summer, and Jay makes us coaches feel at home. He is the epitome of southern hospitality, and I look forward to seeing him every year.

This bar is the gem of Durham! The staff is absolutely magnificent! Melvin, Javonne, and James are very welcoming and kind. When my daughter was a freshman last year, Melvin gave us the most genuine and caring reception. He told us about all the places to see in Durham, best restaurants, parks, hotels, etc. We introduced Melvin to our daughter, and every time she passed through, Melvin remembered her, and said to say hi to her parents. Every time we go to campus ( move in day, move out day, family weekend), we visit this amazing hot spot, and Melvin! The beers on draft are wonderful. They have a mango goldenrod brand that is exquisite. The bar has shaved ice on it, to keep your drinks cold. The lighting is nice and dim, and colored blue in some areas. You also have to walk down from the main Wu food court to enter, giving it a cozy vibe. There is a stage for karaoke too. The corn quesadillas are so fresh, and the corn taste is delightful. The fish wrap with plantains is marvelous and different. We recently took my mother to the university, and our first stop was this amazing bar, to meet Melvin. We had a stellar experience! We are very grateful for finding this treasure, and for the people who make it so special!
