Delafia Wine Bar

Delafia has all the dark, intimate vibes of Lusconi with updated offerings like an excellent chilled red on tap, a by-the-glass list that changes almost daily and a pretty large retail wine section. It’s the newest entry to Durham’s wine scene and easily one of the most exciting.

This is the coolest alternative wine bar around. Great vibes, great wine, and excellent snacks. They focus on less common varietals and vintages, so come in with an idea of what you like and have a fun tasting adventure!

It’s not about the food. It’s about the wine and beer, but more about the wine! When you pull up, you think you’re in the wrong place, maybe even on the wrong side of town, but don’t be fooled! You walk through the door and through some curtains into a dark dimly lit beautiful space. The wine selection is extensive and the bartenders are super knowledgeable.. Check their calendar as they’re always bringing in other community businesses for pop-ups! Tonight Durham staple Owner Antonio 🐮 La Vaquita tacos of Durham is doing a pop-up here. The Carnitas are amazing and Hair really well with what I’m drinking as I write this review.! if you wanna be transformed into a space that does not feel like anywhere in the Triangle, check out Delafia!

Wife and I hit NOMADAS coffee Saturday AM. We loved it. Andrea chatted us up and told us about DELAFIA. Just judging from the vibe and hearsay, we had to go back and check out Delafia that evening. We did & OMFG we loved it. Adam was our bartender. He was very courteous, knowledgeable, and easy to speak to. The vibe/atmosphere at Delaphia is beyond words. It's mysterious, very chill, like in a small basement wine bar in Brooklyn or maybe d/t Milan. We had some snacks with our wine. If there was a kitchen, it'd have been 5/5. Otherwise, the place was perfectly simple and intimate. We can't wait to go back.

Very unique experience for the triangle area. Bartender was extremely knowledgeable and passionate. Was able to try several wines that I would never typically gravitate towards. Just all around a great time.

This is the perfect spot! Great wine. Super friendly and helpful bartender who is clearly knowledgeable and passionate about wine. The snacks are also great especially the giant beans. Don’t sleep on this spot!!!
