If you’re looking for your local “Cheers” equivalent, Dain’s Place is a strong contender. The cozy Ninth Street neighborhood bar is typically jam-packed in equal measure with fans of sports on the TVs, the legendary tots and burgers on the menu and the slew of NC-made craft beers on tap and in the cooler. The vibe is friendly and unpretentious, and you can always make a new friend with another patron or with Dain himself.

First time at Dain's. Didn't realize it was a Saturday and Duke had a game. I had the best time. Also, you are in for a treat with the food. I'm a vegetarian. The impossible burger is scrumptious. The buns are melt in the mouth delicious.

A small humble bar with big delicious burgers. They offer a large variety of options to customize your burger. If you don't mind a mess, may I suggest the sweet beef chili.

Really good burgers at a good price(I love the dainer). The only reason I don't give this one more star is due to the fact that it is a bar and I only come here for food. I have not tried their mixed drinks. I have not stayed to drink as it is a place for younger college kids during the evening. If that's what you're into, then you would probably like this place . I do find the number of TVs they have to be unnecessary for the people who go there to socialize.

This is a review of the food, I did not stay in to experience the bar itself or the service here. I only ordered take out: I ordered the defibrillator with fries and a 1/2 lb. of chicken nuggets. The chicken was amazing and had a great flavor.
The burger (defibrillator) was pretty good, BUT was not what I was hoping it would be. It was advertised to be a 1/2 lb. Burger, but ended up coming out with two very small dried out burger Pattie’s that had me questioning the true weight of the meat. I’ll respect that the burgers were likely dry because I ordered well done, but I’ve order well done at other locations and have been served great burgers, so I’m on the fence as to whether or not I should complain about that. Aside from those issues, the toppings on the burger were creative, and delicious and saved the burger for me.

Dain's Place is one of the most pleasant pubs that I have been to. I went in without many expectations, and came away very impressed. The seating was comfortable and very clean, and the staff was very friendly. They had TV's strategically placed around the interior with the various NFL games on. They had a decent selection of beer on tap, along with the normal selection of mixed drinks.
To me, the standout was the food. In addition to being prepared very quickly, the burgers were excellent. "The Dainer" has got to be one of the best burgers that I've had in my entire life. It was perfect; I wouldn't change a thing about it. The bread was great, the toppings were well proportioned, and the beef tasted amazing.
For watching a game, meeting some friends, or just grabbing a quick meal, I can't imagine a nicer place to go.

Great food and great people. Nice relaxing chill place. Go Philly strong. I enjoy sitting outside drinking and eating while meeting people and enjoying the atmosphere and being able to smoke or vape at the outside tables.

Fly eagles fly is the sandwich to try! Be grudgingly my Giants fan husband even admitted after trying my sandwich that it was good. Small restaurant and we were in town when Clemson was playing Duke so service was just a tad slow but the bartenders were going a million miles serving everyone. Super friendly place.
