The best of both worlds can be found at the independently owned café/bar combo, The Daily Beer Bar. This hip spot has it all: coffee and breakfast pastries from local bakeries in the morning; salads, sandwiches and snacks featuring local ingredients for lunch; and a rotating selection of craft beer, wine and other drinks into the evening.

Easily my favorite coffee shop in town! The coffee is amazing, and nothing beets a cold draft after work :) Also, food selection is nice! They have a variety of seating whether you're looking to work or just chat with friends!

Wow what a nice place. Stopped in here for a beer while walking around Durham. Great beer menu, great recommendations from the owner, very relaxed and friendly environment. It wasn’t quite a meal time so I didn’t order anything, but their menu looks to be interesting, and all prices very reasonable. Highly recommend.

The Daily Beer Bar is open in the morning as a coffee shop. They offer Ninth Street Bakery goodies and a variety of coffee drinks. Try their their tonic espresso.

I love the atmosphere, everything is so cute! The girl was really kind and took our order nicely. I tried the blueberry danish and made it hot with chai latte! Delicious!! Sandwich with chips and cappuccino. The place is cozy!

Places like this are so needed in Durham. It’s a fantastic addition to downtown with quality options throughout the day, with coffee, food, mocktails, cocktails and beer. The food piece is especially important, because Durham has so many breweries / bottle shops, but really few places to grab a great sandwich or salad or snack. There’s a little something for everyone. Edit: I’ve been here on a few weekdays and have noticed it can take quite a while (20-30 minutes) to get your order (sandwich, salad, etc.). I still love this place but think I might need to order takeout in advance on workdays as it feels like a little too long to wait. Perhaps they would benefit from some extra staff?

Whether you're planning to be nestled into a corner with a coffee or striking up a conversation with the wonderful staff at the bar, you can feel how special this place is the second you walk through the door. I was lucky enough to get the 1st Inferno Sandwich of the day, it was insanely delicious. My only complaint is that I didn't order 2!! John, one of the owners, also helped me pick out a coffee, recommending the Daily Filter, and it was exactly what I needed!! 11/10 would recommend!

My favorite lunch spot in Durham, the sandwiches and coffee are great as well as an impressive beer selection. The people there are incredibly nice and the atmosphere is super friendly, just a great spot to hang out downtown no matter the time of day
