Places like this are so needed in Durham. It’s a fantastic addition to downtown with quality options throughout the day, with coffee, food, mocktails, cocktails and beer. The food piece is especially important, because Durham has so many breweries / bottle shops, but really few places to grab a great sandwich or salad or snack. There’s a little something for everyone.
Edit: I’ve been here on a few weekdays and have noticed it can take quite a while (20-30 minutes) to get your order (sandwich, salad, etc.). I still love this place but think I might need to order takeout in advance on workdays as it feels like a little too long to wait. Perhaps they would benefit from some extra staff?

Whether you're planning to be nestled into a corner with a coffee or striking up a conversation with the wonderful staff at the bar, you can feel how special this place is the second you walk through the door. I was lucky enough to get the 1st Inferno Sandwich of the day, it was insanely delicious. My only complaint is that I didn't order 2!! John, one of the owners, also helped me pick out a coffee, recommending the Daily Filter, and it was exactly what I needed!! 11/10 would recommend!

My favorite lunch spot in Durham, the sandwiches and coffee are great as well as an impressive beer selection. The people there are incredibly nice and the atmosphere is super friendly, just a great spot to hang out downtown no matter the time of day

I love The Daily! Best vibes in Durham hands down. You can tell that Rosa and John put so much thought and love into everything they do. Such a cool and welcoming environment. I love the special event menus they have and the music listening parties!! Such a wonderful addition to the downtown area. p.s. Thank you for having mocktails that are actually well thought out and delicious

Very pleasant experience. Super welcoming and comfy. Good music and atmosphere while easily being able to hear each other speak. Very solid food with nice taste twists you don’t get in most places. Very good beer selection. Highly recommend the cake and beer special.

An all around local gem!
The Daily is a favorite amongst our friends and family. The atmosphere is incredible. The owners do an amazing job of curating a thoughtful, interesting, and delicious draft list. The food is delicious - we are big fans of the fresh-made hummus (our toddler goes nuts for it). I also highly recommend the grilled cheese with turkey and pepper jelly added!
The owners are usually present and incredibly welcoming. The staff is equally as incredible as the owners.

I've never really seen a coffee shop/beer bar, but it works! Service and beer was great. Looks like a cool local spot to chill.

This is my favorite bar in Durham. They have an amazing beer selection, fun weekly events including movie nights, specials flights, and vinyl nights, and they have great homemade food! The hummus is out of this world and I recommend any of their sandwiches. Filling, delicious, and healthy.
I can't imagine a more relaxing place to drink a good beer with friends.
