The place is nice, food was good and most of the staff were polite and helpful. One bar tender ruined it though, he seemed bothered to help while we were there and asked us to come back and clear our plates from the bar while we were leaving. This seemed petty and rude and ruined what had been a good experience.

Great coffee and sandwiches. The space is also really nice and comfy. It can get a bit loud sometimes for those of us who want to sit and read, but that just means there are a lot of other people who like the place as well.

So comfy, such good music, food and drinks. The menu and dining/drinking/working experience has been so thoughtfully laid out, and it’s a lovely, cozy place to pass a few hours. The location is really helpful as well, with the parking garage around the corner and DPAC close by.

The Daily is our (me + my husband's) favorite spot in Durham. The owners make a strong effort to create a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere that is truly unique. The staff are also super friendly. We've found The Daily to be good for both working with a coffee+croissant and for relaxing with a pint+sandwich. It's a community spot with great ambience and delicious coffee and beer.
