Convivio Restaurant & Wine Bar serves only authentic food made from genuine Italian recipes handed down through generations. The wine list includes natural, organic and bio-dynamic wines that suit any budget.
Convivio is such an amazing restaurant. Great, well curated Italian wines at reasonable prices. Every menu item I have tried has been great. I had the insalate Sfiziosa, Gnocchi alla Norcina, and the Cipolle al Forno. Wow. Gelato for dessert. The Il Sasso to wash it all down. Very much recommended.

Truly a dining experience that is best enjoyed with a large group of people. We had the pleasure of trying the family style dinner among a large party and it was a fantastic time- every dish was absolutely delicious and we got to try just about the entire menu. The owner was an absolute joy to be around and it felt like the type of restaurant you are proud to support. Authentic and awesome!

My friends and i had the greatest time learning how to make pasta in a private class with Giuseppe- the restaurant owner. He made the class so fun. He was so knowledgeable and likable. We learned so much and got to eat an incredible meal! The two hours was time well spent and he never kicked us out even when we were just kind of hanging out and having a great time! He’s not just serving classic authentic cuisine, he is proud of his heritage and using only the best quality. He is involved in every step of everything this restaurant does. 10/10 experience!

Menu entrees very limited; food itself was fine- nice salad, burrata tomato dish was very good , cod was good, perhaps too spicy for some; but no chicken or beef, one seafood, only 2 pastas and no specials. Much better Italian options in area with some variety. Also, atmosphere completely marred by a bus cart being brought table side for plate removal- lazy and gross. They should nix the singer- she had a nice voice, but acoustics awful- sounded like we were on NYC subway platform.
With more entree options and traditional Italian dishes, this place would be even better.

Amazing food and great service. We made a reservation and were met at the door by the owner and personally shown to our table. The owner and staff are very welcoming and give the restaurant a familial setting. We had an amazing time.

We were very pleased with our dinner experience at Convivio The food was authentic and delicious. Both entrees, the two side dishes, and the dessert were excellent. Also, Rafael, our waiter, was very professional, polite, and friendly. We appreciated his fine service. He is a real asset to Convivio. After trying the Spring Menu, we look forward to trying other seasonal menus in the future. Convivio is a gem for Italian food lovers.

Incredible dining experience. We were a walk in but were fortunate enough to be seated anyway. The wait staff was super attentive and the food was delicious. We got a fun little rundown of each dish and how it was prepared. Absolutely recommend this restaurant to anyone in the Durham area.

My husband and I chose Convivo for our anniversary dinner and we enjoyed ourselves. The atmosphere was amazing, the staff was lovely, and our server was attentive. Our starter was a delicious burrata salad and my husband got this pork pizza - it was delicious and I got the lasagna. Definitely recommend. Only not so tasty thing was the apple pie. I’d skip that and just get some gelato!

My wife and I came here for an early Valentine’s Day dinner. The owner was friendly, attentive, and offered excellent service. The staff was otherwise prompt and took excellent care of us. We ordered the burrata, black truffle gnocchi and strangozziI. I’d would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a thoughtfully curated Italian dinner. Save room for the affagto!

Really torn at my review. The food was delicious, however the portions were way too small. The pasta was listed as an entree and it's definitely not entree size. The porchetta tasted delicious, but at 1" thick x 4" diameter without sides was not worth $29. While the food was good, I do not think we'll be back based on portion size. We went to pie pushers afterwards for more food.
