Taylor at Club Champion in Durham did my first ever fitting at the beginning of 2026. He fitted me for some irons. I had no idea what difference having clubs fitted to my swing would make; I left the studio feeling stunned. I was hitting my new setup anywhere from 30 to 40 yards further. I enjoy playing so much more now that I have an idea where the ball is going to go and roughly how far I can hit each club. I have since gone back to Taylor to be fitted for a hybrid and a fairway wood. He recommended a club brand I had never heard of, but I make consistently solid contact with these new clubs. My playing cohorts have even asked about these new clubs because I hit them so well (which is obviously unusual for me). I will definitely be using and recommending Club Champion in the future.

I worked with Taylor to get fit for a new driver and look at a few other clubs. He took his time and we tried out several different heads and shafts until we found one that aligned with my swing. He respected my budget and was honest about performance and pricing. He also gave great advice on fitting for a few other clubs even though he knew I was only purchasing a driver. Very informative process as well. Would recommend to anyone, was truly a great experience!

Michael Ganor is awesome. Completed a full bag fitting with him and the wealth of knowledge he has on equipment and applying the swing data is amazing. Even gave some very helpful tips to improve my swing. Definitely will recommend Mike to everyone. Thanks again Mike and can’t wait to get the new clubs.

Over the years, I’ve spent thousands of dollars on this ridiculously addictive game—and I’m sure plenty of you can relate. Buy irons on eBay, try different shafts, bend them 3° upright, then 3° flat, change your grip, change your swing, take a lesson from some guy on Craigslist…you name it, I’ve probably tried it.

Finally, out of frustration—and with a tournament coming up—I went to see Jack Richardson, a master club fitter and builder. Jack was incredibly patient, intuitive, and knowledgeable about my game. Whenever I wanted to get creative and experiment, he was just as excited to try it as I was. Coincidentally, we were even playing the same driver, so we bonded over that for a minute.

The best part was that Jack didn’t try to sell me an entirely new set of irons. He helped me stay with the irons I already liked while fitting me into the correct shafts and length—and the difference was incredible.

If you’re looking for someone with great character, integrity, and personality who is also a true subject-matter expert, go spend some time with Jack. It will be time and money well spent.

Jack, if you read this, thank you very much, sir. You’re a true gentleman and an absolute professional.

After playing golf since about 8 years old, at almost 64 I wanted to start focusing on my game and how to get better. I always heard about how the pros have all of their clubs fitted to their specific swings, but did not fully grasp how that makes a difference. Mike was great at explaining all of the parameters that are analyzed and put into the AI to determine the suggested irons. He was very patient and let me hit as many combos of irons and shafts that I could physically hit. I cannot wait to try these clubs out. I will definitely go back to Mike to get fitted for some Hybrids and Wedges
