I love their $2 Tuesday Taco specials I always get about 15 of them to feed myself and the family. They are always nice at check out some customers aren’t very friendly but hey, It’s Durham we’re talking about lol I love them. A month or so ago the tacos were messy and not very filled but the past 3 weeks I’ve been they’ve been excellent great for the price and very filling to my belly. The pico is awesome it’s always almost gone when I get there, I go later at night. The guacsalsa is also great!

This taco spot never disappoints! The tacos are packed with flavor, the ingredients taste fresh, and every bite is delicious. The meat is seasoned perfectly, the tortillas are soft, and the toppings bring everything together. The staff is friendly, the service is quick, and the atmosphere is welcoming. Whether you're stopping by for a quick meal or eating with friends and family, this place delivers great food and a great experience. Definitely one of the best taco spots around, and I'll be coming back for more! -
I recently visited this taco place and had a great experience. The tacos were fresh, flavorful and made with quaddy ingredients. The meat was well seasoned, and the toppings added the perfect amount and crunch and freshness, the surface was friendly and quick and the restaurant was in welcoming, the prices were reasonable for the proportion sizes, make it a great while I would definitely recommend this. Taco place to anyone looking for a delicious food and pleasant dining experience.

I’ve been the past two taco Tuesdays and they are delicious. I love the salsa bar and the pico is amazing! I will most certainly be going back weekly!

I want to like Chubby's. I really do. Their specials are, value-wise, fantastic. The food can be pretty good. However, you're taking a gamble every time you go as they are incredibly inconsistent. Sometimes the food is hot and fresh, sometimes it can taste like it has been under a heat lamp for hours. Sometimes the chips are hot and crispy, other times they are cold and stale. Sometimes the service can be very good, other times it is awful.
I've gone to Chubby's many times, however, as of late, both food and service have been more consistently bad than good. It seems to me they have a significant issue with staff turnover, which leads to the consistency problem.
2 stars as you could still potentially have a good experience, but it's not nearly as likely as it was 12-18 months ago. My entire friend group has noticed the change and we've from going nearly every week to hardly going at all.
