I’m from NY and it was my first time coming here with my best friend who is gluten free. She highly recommended this place because it has so many great gluten free options. I was curious to try it out and wow, it was so busy but easy to find seating at the bar. I had rice avocado and two eggs sunny side. They even had Cholula! So delicious. I was hoping for a tea at the end but we had to go soon. James and Diana were so accommodating and even gave me my orange tea for free! Definitely coming back.

Wow! first time at Bull and Bean. The person that I was there with ordered an amazing piece of toast with butternut squash, goat, cheese, and walnuts. It was on this amazing looking wheat bread with seeds and nuts on it. I wasn’t gonna order anything, but that bread just looked amazing so I ordered a BLT. I got it to go and about 30 minutes later down the road I decided I need to take a bite of the sandwich and it was on white bread. I white bread, but it is completely totally my fault. I for some reason envisioned the sandwich being on that beautiful looking brown bread with seeds and nuts like my dining partner. The sandwich was good, but if you do not like white bread like me, make sure you order the bread you want! Also, James , who was working there was just an amazing person! He was kind and funny and knowledgeable and I would even just go back there just to say hi to him And finally taste that bread with seeds and nuts!

Great and fast service. Really nice people. Lots of parking and a nice vibe. However, the food left a lot to be desired given the cost.

One of the few places I really enjoy the French toast. The food has been consistently delicious for me. They serve Counter Culture coffee, my favorite. WiFi availability with comfy seating.

I ate quicker than I could take a pic. We each did BYO omelet. It was great and came out less than 10 minutes of offering; probably closer to 5. The oatmilk latte was also good. You seat yourself and bus your table. But someone came and bussed ours while we were finishing up our beverages. Super laid back place, with good food at an affordable price. The bathrooms were also clean.

Cold brew with coffee cubes is a must.. Just when you think your iced coffee is melting and watering down, you’re actually about to get another jolt. Love coming here for the coffee cubes. Relaxing environment to catch up with a friend or pull your laptop out and study. Only wish it was more on the way of my normal commute.

I like Bull and bean bc has a lot of options but I’d like that they don’t put everything in the same plate looks ugly, in spit of this the food is good. Unfortunately I didn’t like the smoothie, the menu is not well explained as regards these. The atmosphere is cool and the service nice.

The food was good and the staff were friendly. It’s was really busy on a Sunday brunch morning but there was this one high-top table that was open. It was open because the chairs were so close to the table that even my 8 year olds legs couldn’t fit under it. Management - lovely table, great chairs, let’s just move that table up several inches so it’s usable and you don’t have to eat your meal at a 90 degree angle.

Bull and Bean, I'm loving your vegan options! Thank you for offering clearly marked vegan fare like the loaded hashbrowns and the TLT sandwich. They are absolutely delicious, and I have trouble deciding which one to order when we visit. Please keep it up and experiment with more plant-based menu items, for example vegan pancakes or an option to make the breakfast burrito with scrambled tofu instead of eggs 💚
I also appreciate that you offer plant milks as alternatives to cow milk in your coffees and teas. However, I hope you can drop the upcharge on them soon!
Lastly, if you don't already use 100% cage-free eggs, please look into doing so, and proudly proclaim it as a public policy on your website and menus. And I know it's a harder switch to make, but if you can transition to gestation crate-free pork products, that would also make a positive difference for animal welfare.
See you again soon 🍽️

I love this place in durham for breakfast, brunch and coffee. Have to go early, before 10 am to beta crowds, but as a party of one there’s typically always seating at the bar and service is quick. I love their chai latte, better than most I’ve tasted at other cafes. The grits and breakfast burrito were also really good. I’ve tried the eggs benedict before and loved those too.
