Alright… so here’s how this went down.
I had full plans to hit one of the THREE breakfast spots on University Drive. You know the ones. The usual heavy hitters. Pulled up… no parking. Drove to the next… packed. Third option? Not a seat in sight. At that point I was two seconds from going home and making eggs.
But instead, I did something I NEVER do — I just drove around looking for somewhere random for brunch.
And that’s how I stumbled onto Bull and Bean.
And let me tell you… the brunch gods led me to the right spot.
From the moment I walked in, the vibe was calm, cozy, and welcoming. Not overcrowded, but still buzzing with energy. The staff? Cool, friendly, and on polite
Now let’s talk food.
The croissants were AMAZING. Flaky, buttery, golden perfection. The brunch plates had some unique offerings you don’t see everywhere — smoked salmon topped with a rich, velvety sauce and capers, fresh sautéed greens, bright citrus on the side. Everything tasted fresh and intentional.
You can tell they care about what they’re serving.
Sometimes the best meals aren’t the ones you plan — they’re the ones you stumble into.
Bull and Bean was a happy accident… and I’ll absolutely be back. -
If you're new here it can be overwhelming to come in, look at a menu quickly, and have to order at a counter. The staff at the counter were ok but not very welcoming. The food came out decently quick for a early breakfast. Everything was made to order and arrived hot. The table cakes were quite large but mediocre quality. The French toast was very good, and the best thing we had. The rest of our meal was very average and not worth the price we paid for it. -
Oh my god it was so good. Went here for a friends bday brunch and it was so delicious. I got 2 main breakfast options bc they both looked really good and an iced latte. We sat outside and it's a covered patio in front of the restaurant. -
Classic cafe brunch shop for home style food and specialty coffee. Cozy decor inside. Large parking lot. -
We came in for coffee and maybe breakfast. We checked the menu for breakfast, everything was basically $20 even for specials (we didn’t get food). The order area seemed under staffed and there was only one person actually making the coffees. I wanted the golden bull latte, it was in fact, not a latte. I would have had to add espresso to the LATTE, even though it’s NOT a latte. Eventually I settled, I got a simple latte light on the syrups and a mocha. The mocha was bitter and lacked “mocha” and then I got my light on the syrups latte, a bit better but was still pretty sweet but wasn’t terrible, extremely mid, probably could of gotten a better latte at a chain. The atmosphere was cute and decorated nicely :)
