Service was great. Beer selection is quite good. However my black bean tortas were barely warm ("griddle cakes" is not an accurate menu description), and the slaw was undressed rough ends of cabbage. My husband's seafood paella contained an unopened mussel which should have been caught in the plating, and he said there was too much shrimp compared to fish and mussels.

We ate at Blue Corn Cafe for a private party. The food was delicious, especially the chicken enchiladas and the guacamole. The watermelon margarita was so good, too. The highlight was our server, Karenna (sp?) who was wonderful…friendly, accommodating, and efficient!

My fiancé and I chose Blue Corn Cafe for our wedding dinner on the recommendation of one of my employees. I had eaten there once before and knew the food was good, so I figured it was worth a shot to reach out. The owners, Danielle and Antonio, were so kind and welcoming and accommodated all of our requests (even allowing us to grow the party by 20). I can’t recommend this restaurant enough. Thank you, Danielle and Antonio, for making our day so special!

Pretty good — highlights were the plantains and the value of the 3-item combo plate. Good ambiance as well, not too crowded Friday night. Our waiter Sebastian was super friendly! Thanks. Finally, nice to support a business that has been on 9th since 1997 (!!) Also, pro tip: ask for some hot sauce — they bring out a good portion on a nice tray instead of a bottle. Two minor cons are that cell reception is really bad in the restaurant, and this isn’t in the top-tier of latin food I’ve had in the $15-25 entree range. But it is pretty good for Durham, so check it out!

Wonderful Latin/Caribbean flavors. The tostones are some of the best we have had anywhere and the mole sauce is incredible. Other dishes are an excellent twist on traditional Latino dishes. The atmosphere is inviting and the service is helpful and friendly. P.S. also a short but outstanding wine list.

It was very small, yet charming. The artwork looked personalized. The wait staff were very friendly. The Queso Fundido is amazing. The only downside of the Blue Corn Quesadilla is if you dont eat it very quickly it will become soggy bevajse of the veggies inside such as the squash and zucchini. Overall great experience.

Danielle and her team expertly handed a party of 30 for my organization. Very efficient and patient when we arrived later than the anticipated time. Multiple members commented that the food and service were lovely - last-minute requests were accommodated with a smile. We appreciate them and look forward to visiting again in the future!
