I came here with my coworkers this past Friday. It was my first time there and my coworker really hyped their food up. I don’t remember our servers name but he was polite. The menu is very simple. You pick 1 or 2 bowls (I suggest 2) and fill them up with the veggies. Then you take your trey over to the grill and the food is cook and your server brings it over. Each meal comes with rice (white or brown I think), your veggies at the bar, pick your meats, and sauce. Overall it was a good experience and it was not busy which was great because we were on our lunch break. The only downside is there is NO to go. So you need to finish all of your food there because you can’t take it with you for later.

Very good vegetarian Mongolian grill. Unlike many other Mongolian grills, the vegetarian and meat sections are properly separated. You can also request the cook to clean the whole pan before cooking your vegetarian stuff. The spices are very good. The owners might seem distant at first but once you know them they are very amiable :).

Make your own stir fry! It's a fun challenge to see how much you can fit into one bowl. Tips: use a tray to catch food that falls, line the edge of bowl with meat to give you higher sides, push food down as you load it in. Definitely coming back for more. Can't beat $8 for lunch.

Great food, great service, nice atmosphere.... the food is consistently good and you customize your order by picking exactly what you want from a bar of ingredients.

Inexpensive good food. If you like stir-fried vegetables and meats. Spicy or mild.

I am not sure if this is new or not but you can walk in and order your food to take home. Instead of the set price your food is weighed. Still not take out if you dine in.

It was my first time at Bali Hai Mongolian Grill. It took me a moment to understand how to order my food but the staff was really helpful and walked me through the process. The food is delicious and if you know how to stack the bowl properly you get a lot of food as well. I'll be definitively coming back.

Just had the best Bali Hai today that I've had since the Raleigh one perished. The Durham cooks nailed it perfectly with just the right sauce and just the right heat.

Is different first time going you get a bowl whatever you want in it they cook it for you. It was not that bad the rise and the food. Tho the spicy it's not as spicy as I thought it looks to me like they need more workers. the time that we were there a lot of people started to come so that's good.

We have been going to Bali Hai for more than 10 years now including their Raleigh/Garner location. We totally love the food. Amazing flavors and fresh vegetables. Owners and staff are very friendly.

We used to go to the one in Raleigh, but unfortunately it burned down. The wife and I enjoy it enough that every so often we will make a trip to the one in Durham (from North Raleigh). Pile your bowls high with the food that you like and be sure to choose a sauce that is an appropriate level of spiciness. Always a good meal and always super filling, friendly staff and a relaxed atmosphere top it all off for a great experience.

Great food for great prices. Their stir fry is awesome. If you’re a big eater I recommend two bowls and stacking as high as you can. I personally just get one bowl of ingredients plus the add on of noodles.

Always great food and wonderful, friendly service! They're taking good precautions during covid-19-- please be sure to go here and keep them in business! Love this place!

Extremely clean family run business. Tonight was my first experience with them and they were overwhelmingly nice and the food was excellent.

I have not had the pleasure of having their food “yet”. However, I came in the other day as a delivery driver. OMG the exceptional service that was given to me as a delivery makes me want to take the drive to Durham. Exceptional is an understatement. I literally felt as if I was invited to his home. Thank you!!!! #Supportlocal #Supportsmallbusinesses. Looking forward to trying this restaurant. Exceptional service is priceless.

The food was pretty good, but not a wide variety of sauces, and it's not "all you can eat'. Excellent service.

Unexpectedly delicious and reasonably priced Asian-style stir fry dishes. Staff is very quick and friendly. 10/10 will go back!

I actually really like the food here and it certainly is a good value as prices are cheap and they have no issue with customers stacking bowls. I wish they would use better meat than the thin rolled pieces even if it cost more and had more expansive selection for things to put in bowl. So, it is good enough, but I have been to much better Mongolian grills. It is a little rundown on inside and not very inviting. The ordering process is bizarre to me as well.

Nice place with good and affordable food. Recommended for a quick eat. Price by pound now, 7-10 dollars per order would give you a stomach full.

Frozen meats, smaller selection of veges & meats to add. Not super fresh. But I think it's because of the pandemic. When you enter, nothing to tell you what the costs were or what should be done. I was hoping to go for unlimited, but it was a one plate and done kind of service priced by weight. Again, not sure if because of the pandemic. They were doing a good job being safe.

More people need to know about this place and I'm surprised it isn't rated higher. I've been here 10-15 times and just keep coming back. They are not doing anything revolutionary in terms of the Mongolian grill experience but it is delicious every time, a great value, clean, and has exceptional service.

Food is still good but eating in on styrofoam wasn't ideal. No service except explaining mask policy and you have to select drinks in a freezer. Still, I fully expect next time I visit (after the restrictions are lifted) Bali Hai will be back to 5 stars.

The food was good and quick, but they screw you over pricewise if you get the rice. I got a to-go order with just veggies and rice. First, you already have to pay a dollar more for rice, but then they pack your to-go box with rice, adding significantly to the weight. What should have been less than a pound was easily doubled to 2 pounds because of the overload of rice in the order. Since you pay by the pound, I ended up paying more than I should have.
