So charming! I highly recommend taking the train to Charlotte. It’s such an easy commute.
The train station is an adaptive reuse of the old tobacco warehouse and it’s just charming. Old wooden benches, exposed ceilings with ductwork, and small tidbits of history.
The train station has vending machines but is also within walking distance of places to eat.
Check it out! Much easier than 1-85 driving! -
The Amtrak station attendant was very good. She kept everyone well informed. The station is spotless clean. Coach seats are definitely upgraded since I last rode. -
Absolutely five-star service! All my son wanted to do was ride a train, and everyone at this station made it a magical experience for him. The staff were incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to ensure his dream came true. Their kindness and dedication turned a simple train ride into an unforgettable adventure. We couldn't be more grateful! Highly recommend this station for anyone looking for exceptional service and a truly memorable experience. -
I went there with my son today, and was greeted by Angie, who told me that the next train was 90 mins out, and then she gave me a coloring book, crayons, a cardboard folding thing of a train and a cardboard Condictor Hat for my son to keep him busy. My son ran off and almost got behind a truck that was backing up and then Leah ran after him to make sure he was safe. These two individuals really made this trip wonderful. They were both there when we got back to see the 1pm and 1:15pm trains, and answered all our questions about trains, proces and how long the trips take. I will definitely be back -
Its an old fashioned train station. Some history on the walls, nice and clean. Benches are that comfortable, no wifi, few chargers (none by benches). Staff was friendly and announced arrivals of trains.
