American Underground is an incredible coworking space in Durham! I have another office, but I love working from here because the atmosphere is just unmatched. The staff is always friendly and helpful, and the space itself is fantastic—tons of room across multiple floors, so it never feels crowded. My favorite features are the top-notch podcasting studio and the private call booths, which are essential for my work in real estate. It’s a perfect mix of community and functionality. Highly recommend!

I seriously disliked the Security after 6 PM. I can understand the concern for safety. Once inside the classrooms were excellent
Make sure you account for rush-hour traffic and plan accordingly. A half hour trip can turn into a hour and a half trip depending on time of day. -
Game-changer during the past year for me.
Joining American Underground early 2021 was arguably the best decision of the year. Great to get out of the house and go somewhere flexible and reliable after working remotely. Stellar wifi, great to be surrounded by a network of entrepreneurs, and I've been so happy with the sanitation and general helpfulness of their entire staff during a tricky season to navigate! Glad to be part of this community. -
I don't work here but seems like a good place for small start ups or those just needing some office space. I visited for a networking event and the rooftop bar was a good size. I'm really leaving a 5 star review because of the awesome Star Wars display they have in one of their hallways.

American Underground is the best! Our team has used their space multiple times now, and it's great for events. But it's more than just a space-- it's a community. Tim and his colleagues do such a great job helping you get connected with member companies.
