The customer service was great. I upgraded my car at the last minute due to the storm that came while I was visiting. They didn't overcharge me and gave me a beautiful 4 wheel drive truck. I was in and out within 15 minutes or less. Service with a smile. Who could ask for anything more. -
Alamo is THE BEST car rental agency at RDU. In the past I've rented from the major competitors and unfortunately was double charged or had some type of issue. Fortunately this is NOT the case with Alamo. There aren't words adequate to describe the top-notch service I received from Alamo at Raleigh Durham International Airport (RDU). I chose the "click and pick" option, which was an economic option. To my pleasant surprise, a Cadillac SUV was assigned to me...NICE! $182.29 for a Cadillac SUV for Saturday, Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday. All employees whom I interacted were polite and professional, especially Trévonté (spelling?) "Tray" or "Tre" who helped to make certain the car had a full tank of fuel before I left the rental facility. He also was there when I returned the car and addressed me by name welcoming me back. It's little things like this that keep customers returning to do business. Elloise (spelling) was the shuttle bus driver. She was extremely helpful as she immediately went into action to assist me with loading my luggage onto the shuttle. She also clearly announced the terminal numbers for each airline upon stopping at the terminal. Elloise and Trévonté are two top-notch employees, stellar work! Next time I fly into RDU I will use Alamo again and recommed that others do the same. Avoid the competitors! -
1) My car was new and clean. Check in and out was fast. Everyone was friendly.
2) This site does NOT have skip the counter.
3) They say they have a 1hr grace period on return (did not test this out). -
I rented a car from Alamo a few weeks back and it was overall a pleasant experience with the staff. When we took the shuttle to Alamo, it was completely packed compared to National, which is basically run by the same people. However, once I got to the counter, the man who helped me was very quick and nice (it took less than 5 minutes). The man who guided me to the initial car gave me an option between 3 cars to pick from. I didn't care, so I picked the Hyundai Sonata. After driving for around 2 hours (and right before I was going to drive to my real destination), the engine light came on. I immediately called Alamo, who told me to go ahead and get a replacement car or wait for someone to come take a look at the car. I think the rep assumed I was stranded on the side of the road, but since it was still drivable, I drove back to the airport immediately. *There are long lines for dropping rental cars back, so if you have a car issue, make sure to tell the rep that, otherwise they'll assume you're doing a standard drop off.* Anyway, the employee told me to park beside the building for the switch out. Unfortunately, there was an even bigger line than before, but the National employee worked on my replacement as soon as I slowly slid up to the side of the counter and told her what happened. The manager came out and turned the wheel back and forth before letting me know the employee I was just talking to would help me get another car. I got a Trailblazer within 10 minutes or so and drove off. It was fine after that, and surprisingly took very little gas considering it was a big SUV and the amount of driving I did. When dropping the car off, I told the employee what happened as a matter of conversation while I picked up my stuff and he gave me a discount, which was really nice! Overall, the employees were all punctual and nice, even when things went wrong. I would go to them again when I'm back in the area. -
Online check in was super easy, shuttle from RDU airport was immediately available and quick to the counter, the woman who waited on us was super friendly, knowledgable, and prompt! Our Nissan Altima was super clean (smelled brand new) and had amazing gas mileage! Our return went just as amazing as our check-in: friendly, prompt, and the shuttle was ready to take us to the airport! 10/10 for service, quality, and cleanliness! Thank you for such a great experience!
