I randomly found this place by searching “ice cream near me” and let me tell you, their gelato is hands down the best I’ve ever tasted!!! I loved the pistachio, as well as the coffee and the chocolate. I don’t even like mint chocolate chip but tried it because the other flavors were so good, and it was delicious as well. The owner was very welcoming and offered me multiple desserts to try including his century-old cheesecake recipe (beautiful taste and texture), and tiramisu (he bakes his own ladyfingers and you can taste the difference). I also sampled multiple olive oils and left with a bottle and some Italian bread. Before leaving he offered me a small coffee flavored pastry (since I liked the coffee gelato so much) and I was blown away by the full flavor, creamy texture of the custard, and the soft but crispy pasty. I don’t remember what that was called, but boy was it delicious! I’m sure I asked about the prices of things on the menu, but this is the type of place where as far as I’m concerned, the price does not matter because I know I’m walking out with delicious food with high quality ingredients made by a meticulously talented hand and offering an outstanding customer service experience. This guy loves what he does and it shows. There are so many overpriced, mediocre food experiences out there, and this is not that. If you’re out having a meal and thinking about getting an overpriced off menu dessert, don’t. Just don’t. Make this place your dessert destination. This is worth it. Don’t argue with me about it. Argue with your mother. I’ll be back.

Such a hidden gem! I’m visiting North Carolina with my son and we stopped by A Little Gelato around 7pm. It’s tucked away in the back of the building and so worth finding. The shop is cute, the gelato is absolutely delicious, and they also have pastries and baked goods. The owner was incredibly kind—he served us himself, gave us free bread, and even shared advice about moving to North Carolina (he’s originally from New Jersey too!). Great gelato and even better hospitality. Highly recommend!

Hidden gem! Excellent service, perfectly buttery and crisp croissant (mushroom croissant was perfect and served warm). Really enjoyed trying different balsamic vinegars and olive oils - perfect ice cream or salad topping. We also enjoyed the delicious gelato - really tastes like the flavor and not artificial. I can’t forget the perfectly made cheesecake and tiramisu. Worth the visit and will be coming back as often as possible.

We had such a great experience here! The gelato was incredibly smooth and flavorful, and the tiramisu was absolutely delicious. The owner was so friendly and welcoming—he let us sample different flavors, the cheese cake, the tiramisu before we decided, which made the visit even better. Just a heads-up: the shop is a little tricky to find since it’s located behind the building, but it’s definitely worth the extra effort. Highly recommend!

I had a hard time finding it when I first looked it up on the GPS. Google does say that it's in the back, but I did not know that it was literally behind the building. I walk in. The owner greets me with a smile and lets me try all kinds of amazing gelato. We even tried sauerkraut pastry. I know what you're thinking..GROSS! But it was actually really good. It was salty from the sauerkraut and sweet from the pastry. You're just gonna have to trust me bro 😆. The place is really great and all the food is exceptional. And if there's a cheesecake lover in your family. He has a homemade recipe from his grandmother that is to die for!

The best ice cream in the entire triangle. New place. I don’t even like ice cream. The only time I ever get ice cream is gelato in Europe. This was just as good or better. Very high quality, expensive ingredients that are imported. Also, the best cheesecake! Very unique texture, flavor. So delicious.

So glad we found this tucked away gem! Incredible gelato and a surprising variety of pastries. They also had cute gift shop items which I plan to buy closer to the holidays. Can't wait to come back! Added pictures of the building - A Little Gelato is around the back, plenty of parking!

Delish!!! I got lemon for one of my flavors and orange +mint for the other and it was an unexpected flavor that I enjoyed. My husband got cookies and cream. They were so polite in explaining all of their flavors and pastries!! We do not live close but whenever we're back in the area we'll be back!

The pastry chef really knows his stuff. The tiramisu is divine. All the pastries and cheesecakes we tried were beyond scrumptious. The gelato was super. I’ll be back.

I was pleasantly surprised to discover this lovely spot today. Enjoyed the cheesecake, very happy with the options for pastries. My favorite gelato was the cookies and cream (I’m a sucker for anything cookies and cream and it was deliciously sweet/creamy). The atmosphere was great and the owner is very friendly. 10/10 experience.

My new go-to spot. Their non-dairy and dairy Gelato options are delicious. They are super fresh, and you can definitely tell the difference. I decided on the non-dairy option this time of strawberry and mango; also took tiramisu home. I love that the tiramisu wasn't too sweet, it was perfect for me.
