21c is a pretty cool hotel. The art is pretty neat and the rooms are very nice. The beds are comfortable and bar/restaurant has excellent food, drinks and atmosphere. The doors could be a little more sound proof, but otherwise it's a great place to stay. It's literally right downtown with lots of options for quality food and things to do. I recommend it. If you're hanging in your room, watch the art channel for a documentary about the creation of the hotel and some secrets to it's past!

Nice hotel and location. Problem: we wereon the “dog floor” and no one told us the deal. Every time someone walked down the hall one of the dogs in the rooms started barking. After 8 or 9 repeats, I called front desk. They said they would handle it. A few hours later (11PM), same thing started up. Wife called again and they did something then. Otherwise neat place. Ask for a quiet floor.

Staff was great and rooms are comfortable and clean. Modern decor with art gallery. We had a fantastic meal at The Counting House! Will be back for sure!

I can here cause I heard it was a museum and a restaurant and I only went to the door stairs and the art work is gorgeous. I’m supposed to come back Saturday with my friend to look at all the artwork. I’m going to school for digital Photography so this is a good place to see all the artworks. I’m only 20 years old and I’m hoping to book a hotel for my 21st birthday this August. I don’t know if we can take pics but if so then I will do that this week.

Pretty negative experience. Upon arrival, there were no instructions on how to get to check in (go to the second floor), the elevators were not working, my card did not work, and check in took longer than it ought to. The room was very dark and felt very dingy and dated - not in a boutique or chic vintage way, just gross. Bed only had one fitted sheet so I laid a towel between me and the mattress in the absence of a sheet. Breakfast order was hung at 5pm and never picked up nor delivered. Check out was a nightmare - perhaps the woman was new but she wasn't sure what to do. One star for location only. I will stay at the Durham or Marriott next time
