Loved the Mill and the other historic buildings. You can take a short walk to the dam which is beautiful. Enjoyed our time there.

Even than the water looks dirty haha is a good place to swimming and that reason is because is not deep. There are turtles and fish. The parking is good and you have to walk around 1 km. I went at 4:00 and it wasn’t crowded. Take care with the rocks. It’s pet friendly.

This place is beautiful, but the signage is hard to follow. We had to ask several people for help to get to the water. If you park where Google directs you, you have to go to the right. You will see another road. Cross that and stay to the right, then follow the music. Bring water shoes! The rocks hurt! And bug spray! We saw a few harmless snakes in the water. Just an FYI. Also the bathrooms are port a potties. Come wearing your bathing.

Walked the primitive through the woods trail. Great workout. Super views. We’ve had lots of rain so the river is really high.

Visited on a field trip. Beautiful area. The guides were very nice and educated about the property. My daughter had a great time and even got to make a corn husk doll to take home! I would definitely recommend.

I love this park! It has a nice walking trail that surrounds the entire park. There are cabins and structures that appear to be from the 1800s. I’m not too sure about the history of the mills and cabins but it’s beautiful. Great place for a nice walk

What a beautiful place to take a hike. It is close enough to Durham to add it to your trip to town for a short walk or stay all day and discover all the cool trails. The Mountain laurel is blooming so make sure you hit that trail along the river. We spotted many native plants, pyeweed, wild ginger along with the laurel so don't forget to look down once in a while. The trail to the dam is fun but can be hazardous for a new hiker!
