Piper, Piper, Piper… baby you ain’t in the park, you in your muhfuggin bag! This hands down the best lunch I’ve had In Durham so far. And the prices?!? Beyond reasonable, especially for the portions and quality. I got a BLT with pimento cheese and the cheesy chicken taco soup. I don’t even like my bread toasted, but this was the softest bread I’ve ever had. All of it was beyond amazing. My only issue is that I’m not gonna be able to eat lunch at home knowing this deliciousness is down the road.

Great lunch hour food. Wide variety of sandwiches, salads, wraps, soups. During week days its stays very crowded during 11-1:30. Fair prices.

i come to durham once a month for work and this is the only place i go for lunch. the portions are generous, the staff is kind, and the taste is out of this world; regardless of what you order.
oh, get a cookie. you won’t regret it.

This place offers unique flavors on foods you don't expect, but at the same time maintains the general vibe of a sandwich shop. Though the food is good, some of the unique flavors may put some individuals off (for example, the pasta salad had an orange flavor, which I thought was fine but was offputting for others in my party). I loved the wall of pet pictures (bring a pet pic, get a cookie) - especially whoever named their cat Spoopy. The prices were reasonable given the amount of food you receive. Vegetarian options are available, and there are enough of these options that one shouldn't feel squashed.

Words can not express the atmosphere of this establishment. As soon as I walked in, the delicious scents of the cooked foods comingling made my mouth water. (I was getting full, just sniffing the air!!) The lady who got my order was delightful, I mean truly. The other patrons in the joint were all having a jovial time, obviously enjoying their experience as well as the food. The bathroom was clean and artsy. The paintings of dogs on the main wall in the dining area were fun to look at, done by an amazing artist, no doubt. The food was scrumptious. I had a fish sandwich. It came with a salad. If you haven't tried thier Ranch dressing, you'd better. Yummy. There was a crispy, delicious pickle slice included, and I don't know when I had a pickle last, but I sure did enjoy it.

Food was fantastic! I got the grilled pimento cheese sandwich with the chopper salad. Almost every entry is $10 so it's cheaper than fast food but far more delicious. Place gets pretty busy so you get there after 12 expect to wait in line. Service pretty quick so moves along well.

Everyone there is so nice, worth the wait if you go at high lunch time. Everything always fresh and delicious. Our office eats here at least once a month and they get everything right.
They used to give you a free cookie if you brought a picture of your dog- good people.

Great spot for a bite to eat- wasn’t too crowded- their team members were friendly and helpful upon entering, and our lunch order was ready within no time. Ingredients were tasteful, and the experience enjoyable.
Atmosphere was okay, it was unique to see local artists work for sale on the wall; honestly food was delicious, will be returning!

Piper's has very good food, friendly and efficient service, and reasonable prices. I often get the soup and sandwich combo. Their tomato basil soup is particularly good! On my most recent visit I tried the Cowgirl Quesadilla which has fall apart tender brisket, grilled onions, BBQ sauce, and cheddar. Wonderful! If you eat in at peak times, the place can get quite noisy!

Everything was wonderful. I had the Maggie’s Mix wrap, which I believe was the only vegan option, and it was delicious. The summer special salad, butter bean and corn, was amazing. Since I’m not vegan, I also shared the blackberry cobbler topped with cinnamon ice cream with my husband - it’s not to be missed. Portions were huge and reasonably priced. Will definitely be a repeat customer!

Piper's is close to my work so I am a frequent customer. The menu options are unique and they usually have a special of the day that is great. I haven't had anything I disliked and would especially recommend the chicken quesadilla or cowboy beef brisket. You order and pick up your food at the counter. The staff has always been exceptionally helpful and nice. I appreciate the dog decor and the door benches, while not the most comfortable, give the space a unique ambiance.
