This is one of my all-time favorite restaurants. I recently had the bleu cheese and bacon burger and it was heavenly. The atmosphere is quite pleasant as long as you miss the lunch rush in which case it's rather noisy. Everything I've ever ordered has been delicious.

Well, folks. This is my new go-to diner. This was my first visit and I noticed the diner appears to cater to the retired professional and senior patrons. Of course there were other patrons and a few really cute children. The food was great. I had a taste for fried chicken for a month so that's what I ordered. The waitress warned me it would be 25 minutes because it's cooked when you order so it's fresh out the pan. It was worth the wait! The service was second to none. What I enjoyed the most was the atmosphere. The music wasn't too loud and perfect for meal time. While there was a full house it didn't feel crowded. Oh, and then there's the bar in view of the TV. Just go. You won't be disappointed I promise.

This place is down home and gives you the southern classics you need. Sometimes service is slow but that’s because it’s so popular. I dream about the vegetable plate and the variety of sides I can eat as a “meal” 🤤😋 broccoli and cheddar casserole is something I’d give a limb for; great meatloaf and chicken n dumplins

First time here. It was exactly what I expected. The food was good and the service was excellent. Kacey was awesome. I will be back to try other things on the menu. The pancakes are plate sized so bring your appetite 🤤

This place came highly recommended. The food was good. I was very disappointed that for almost $27, my seafood platter was a very sad portion,..four small oysters, four shrimp and a strip of catfish. I could have gone to a nearby seafood restaurant and get done that portion for half the price.Mac and cheese had a good taste, but dry. It was my birthday so kind of a bummer.

Lovely spot. Food was excellent and the servers and owners work together to provide the best customer service. We were one family but felt like we have the place to ourselves. Friendly and attentive. Hope to go here again soon.

Best food, atmosphere and service! The menu is HUGE and they serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner all day so there’s always plenty to choose from based on what I’m craving. Some of my favorites are the poor man’s club, pork chops, vegetable plate, waffles, and too many more to name. Their salads are always fresh. The prime rib on Friday nights is top notch. They have all the comfort food you could want, but also do dinner specials each week that are more “fine dining” so you really get a taste of it all here. They have catered for my birthday and family holidays too and it’s always amazing. I think the catering menu is even bigger than the restaurant one.

Although I have eaten here many times this week I tried the turkey and dressing for the first time I normally get a vegetable plate because they always have such an amazing variety of sides. This was not my favorite. The dressing felt a little packaged and the turkey was a bit dry. No worries because there's plenty of other amazing things on their menu to keep me busy.

We come here several times a month for lunch. They have great burgers, sandwiches and salads and offer a choice of 20 or more sides - including grilled corn on the cob! We recently learned that they serve Eggs Benedict on the weekends (they are not listed on the menu) and they are the best we have found in Durham. The diner would also work for a casual dinner and it appears that they have a full bar. The owner is on site and frequently checks to see that everything is running smoothly and your food is up to expectation. It is apparent that both quality and service is of primary importance and the waitstaff is cordial and efficient. Try it - you'll like it! P.S. There is also ample parking and a convenient branch of the Post Office next door.
