The room was large (232), lovely, clean and modern. Location wise, we heard road noise 24/7. I wished I had my earplugs, but am a light sleeper. My complaint was that we paid $15.00 each for breakfast that was served from 6:00-10:00 on Friday. My husband got up early and went downstairs at 6:00 to get a cup of coffee and wait until I arose and met him at 7:00 for breakfast. He didn't have the 'chit' they gave us but they could easily verify that we had pre-paid. However, he was told by the attendant in the breakfast room AND the front desk that regardless of whether we had paid or not, he could not get a cup of coffee until he was ready to eat. I have never heard of this policy and it was infuriating, to say the least. We will be in that area frequently (Duke Hospital) but will NOT ever stay there again. There are plenty of other places where one can be treated respectfully.

Our room was spacious and clean. The beds were comfortable as well. The staff at the hotel were amazing and very accommodating! I actually left something at the hotel and didn't realize until we were already home. They were very helpful in quickly getting my things mailed back to me safe and sound. The location of the hotel is nice as well. There are plenty of places to eat within walking distance and many others that are just a short drive. I highly recommend this hotel for its convenience and friendly helpful staff.

So for me I attended a Furry Convention and there were so many of us like over 1,100 people and the staff and everything was absolutely fantastic they were super kind and very patient. I have autism and the fact that the staff and everyone was so accommodating and really took their time with me was incredible. To give you an idea also on how amazing the staff and everyone was I also at the end of my convention accidentally left my bag that had lots and lots of valuables in there from the convention and my own personal items. The staff did not take anything from it they did not mess with the back whatsoever they simply marked it as forgotten and when I drove back to get it they went up to the housekeeping staff and they grabbed it. I cannot recommend this place enough. The only thing I truly can say is a negative is that this place will charge you for breakfast lunch and dinner when other hotels that's free hopefully maybe they will come around to that. But other than that these guys were super fantastic if I need a hotel in Durham I'm picking these guys.

We had a wonderful stay at the Hilton Durham with the staff being so attentive and kind to my family, especially to my kids. Special shout-out to Immaculate and James (as well as the director of catering, whose name I did not get) for their kindness and thoughtfulness. Immaculate went above and beyond to make sure we had such an enjoyable time in Durham. The night before our stay at the Hilton, we stayed in a different, well-known, and more expensive hotel in the city, and the Hilton was definitely the preferred selection. Highly recommend to all visiting the great city of Durham!

We stayed at this Hilton property for four nights. I found the hotel to be excellent. We are heavy travelers and expect properties to be clean and maintained. Our room was clean, quiet and comfortable. What made our stay especially satisfying was the assistance given to us by Lynette, front desk associate. We had to extend our stay in Durham. She was terrific in helping us make the changes to our accommodations. She is among the most customer centric hotel staff associate we have experience for awhile. Would definitely stay here again

I'm helping my daughter and her family move into their new home in Durham. The home isn't new, just new to them. First day in the house we discovered problems with the well. At 5:00 Sunday night, we had no running water. Thank goodness for Hilton - I got a room immediately and was treated to a comfortable bed, all the warm running water I could want and a scrumptious breakfast the next morning. Heather was a gracious, attentive hostess in the cafe. I hope the water starts flowing soon but if not at least I can go to the Hilton! Oh - and next time I'll remember to ask for feather-free bedding.

We stayed here for one night. The hotel is in a great location and service was top tier. We were upgraded to an Alcove Suite which was super nice. The only complaint was the constant elevator noise in the suite. Each and every time the elevator was used, you heard it. The pool area looked so nice but we didn’t get a chance to use it on this trip. The hotel is clean, spacious and decorated beautifully. Our room was spacious, clean and the bed was very comfortable. We would definitely choose this hotel again.

Great location near Duke. The pool area looked great but we didn’t use it because it rained. Our room had no linens for the pullout, the hard plastic cover was still on the pullout and there was no complimentary water for Hilton guests in the room. When we called down to ask for these items, we were told to come to the lobby to retrieve them and we could rip off the mattress cover ourselves and dispose of it. Kind of weird, and not very service oriented. After traveling for 12 hours, not a welcoming experience at 11 pm. The next morning when we went down for coffee, there was complimentary coffee, but. we were told we could buy a “delicious Starbucks coffee!”. We also got the text asking how is your stay going a few hours after checkout. We were there for 2 nights so that timing was off by a day. There was no valet bag, no towel bar unless the shower pull is doing double duty and that was 6 inches long so not enough to hang two towels and we had a king suite with a pullout. All in all, not terrible but the room had a feel of having just been recently renovated poorly- with little thought to anyone actually staying in the room. There was limited closet space and maybe 2 drawers to put clothing in. And don’t pick a room near the elevator- super loud. Breakfast was okay but $50 for 2 people to have buffet scrambled eggs home fries bacon or sausage? I wouldn’t choose this location again. We were there for a Duke football game because our sons football team was playing them.

The Manager and Staff turned what was one of the strangest experiences into one of the best experiences. A severe storm came through and knocked out power to the entire city of Durham. The heat index had been 115 degrees earlier in the day to top it off. I was so impressed by the professionalism of the manager and staff. They kept the bar open as long as possible and did everything they could to make it comfortable for people. They never wavered in their professionalism as the heat and humidity rose now that there was no AC. I just wanted to say thank you as it's so refreshing to see people take their job seriously and with such dedication to their guest.

Overall, we were very pleased; but, the following will hopefully help others when seeking to find a hotel in the Durham area. First, when entering our Double Room there was a slight mildew smell. I never saw mold but could smell it not constantly, but always upon entering the room. Because I’m allergic to both, I had to take medication to reduce an outbreak. Next, the room didn’t have a microwave or chair. When we asked the front desk for these items, we were told only suites had those 😳. Next, the Shower is extremely small, the bathroom door would not close & the toilet paper holder was broken. Next, the restaurant was severely understaffed. Our waiter had to triple as the bartender, the waiter, the busboy and possibly help prep in the kitchen. The wait was long because the restaurant was packed. However, his name began with an (R). He was so professional & extremely sweaty. Felt so bad for him, I gave him a 35% tip. No maid service unless you ask. Everything else was GREAT! The staff was very helpful and friendly. The hotel and our room was very clean and the beds & pillows were comfortable. I do recommend this hotel and I will return to this hotel for my future stays when visiting Durham.

The location is a little far from downtown, but definitely not a deal breaker. The rooms are very nice for what the price is. Definitely get your bang for your buck with rooms. They have a gym, pool and jacuzzi. A little bummed about the restaurant not being open for lunch but you do get access to both breakfast and dinner. And most of all, the staff is very friendly and helpful, from the cleaning staff to the bar/restaurant/Starbucks trio, and the front desk. Every single front desk employee was friendly and helpful. I recommend this hotel strongly for people staying in Durham from out of town. I will be using it again when I'm back in town. I believe the experience garners a higher rating then the 3 stars currently residing on Google. Thank you Hiton staff for a great experience!

My fiancé and I stayed at this location the night between one medical procedure and a major surgery the following day. Miss Lynnette (I think that was her name!) at the front desk accommodated us with an early check-in so my fiancé could recover following the first procedure. She even gave us a medical stay rate/discount that we didn’t even know existed when she found out we were there for medical procedures. She was amazing. The room was nice and very clean. Bed was a bit firm but I got a great night’s sleep. We were not at the hotel long to enjoy any other amenities but the hospitality was superb and the room was comfortable for our stay.

Location- it is right off of the highway. There are restaurants in close proximity. If you do not feel like going out there is a restaurant inside of the hotel called Bluestone. Service- Everyone was very nice but they were severely understaffed. I was there for a conference so the servers were very overwhelmed being there was only 2 of them. However they were very kind and tried their best to keep checking on us. It did take 1hr to get our food but we know it was not their fault. Rooms- need some love. The bathroom was nice. The beds were kind of hard so I tossed and turned. The flooring creaked. The beds had lights but only one worked. The room was clean and provided plenty of towels. Overall I would stay again if needed.
