Bull and Bean, I'm loving your vegan options! Thank you for offering clearly marked vegan fare like the loaded hashbrowns and the TLT sandwich. They are absolutely delicious, and I have trouble deciding which one to order when we visit. Please keep it up and experiment with more plant-based menu items, for example vegan pancakes or an option to make the breakfast burrito with scrambled tofu instead of eggs 💚 I also appreciate that you offer plant milks as alternatives to cow milk in your coffees and teas. However, I hope you can drop the upcharge on them soon! Lastly, if you don't already use 100% cage-free eggs, please look into doing so, and proudly proclaim it as a public policy on your website and menus. And I know it's a harder switch to make, but if you can transition to gestation crate-free pork products, that would also make a positive difference for animal welfare. See you again soon 🍽️

I love this place in durham for breakfast, brunch and coffee. Have to go early, before 10 am to beta crowds, but as a party of one there’s typically always seating at the bar and service is quick. I love their chai latte, better than most I’ve tasted at other cafes. The grits and breakfast burrito were also really good. I’ve tried the eggs benedict before and loved those too.

We had the brunch special cinnamon swirl table cakes, Mexican benidict, and the perfect bowl. Pancakes were one of the best we’ve ever had, the Mexican Benedict tasted like an amazing taco Benedict, and the perfect bowl was a great classic breakfast. Overall the food is amazing. The place is efficient because it’s self seating and you go up to the counter to order and pay. You can get your own water and coffee and when your done put your dishes away. No waiting on a waiter really. The lattes were good as well. We’d come here again for sure when we’re in town.

Ate here today with my mom. I ordered the breakfast burrito and an iced s’mores latte, she had the Big Bull Breakfast. My burrito was good not great. I felt like it was a good portion size and tasty (with added hot sauce) but nothing special and not something I’d order again. My s’mores latte was absolutely delicious, though I was disappointed they weren’t able to make it decaf (which i know it’s a restaurant and not specifically a coffee shop so no stars subtracted for this just mentioning it). Mom said her dulce de leche latte was also very good. The lattes are the main reason I’m giving 4 stars instead of 3. We were both bummed that the table cake specials are only offered on the weekends. I love pancakes and their regular menu ones were very plain, especially compared to the wonderful sounding weekend special. Despite the specials I do not think I’d go on a weekend - the inside was pretty cramped feeling even without being overly busy, and the outside doesn’t have a ton of seating. I’m not a big fan of fighting for a table or feeling like the table next to me is in my lap. We also didn’t have a great “service” experience. I’d say it was “adequate” but not very friendly or helpful.

Good breakfast and brunch spot in Durham! Came here for lunch. We ordered the grits bowl and hash brown, and the chopped kale super salad. The food were all delicious, although the kale salad could use more miso dressing. Cool vibe. Also great drinks and they sell some local gift (chapel hill and durham toffees, some local bbq rubs and sauces, etc.)

Quaint coffee shop/cafe. Not clear seating or ordering process for newcomers, but Lupita was very helpful. I was able to customize my sandwich, unfortunately the scrambled egg was hard fried and the sausage wasn't what I was expecting. The hot chocolate was good and in a nicely sized cup. Thank you for a memorable experience.

I'm willing to be pretty understanding, especially on the weekends, but this was not a great experience. $22 + tip to get the "perfect" breakfast. Supposed to get one pancake and one piece of french toast. Given two pancakes and when I asked about it, they said "thats what the ticket said." Not what I ordered, mind you, but it's busy and the weekend. Let it ride. Pancakes were not hot. I paid extra to have chocolate chips added to the cake I ordered. Instead, I got a handful of cold chocolate chips on top of my pancakes. 1 of 2 eggs broken and over cooked. Probably better to come in on a weekday.

Love this place! You order at the counter but it takes a bit so it still feels like a sit down experience. They are crowded on the weekends but I’ve never had trouble getting a seat because it’s people are always rotating out. They have a big menu and you get lots of food. There were lots of things I wanted to try!
