Overall good food and sake and a cool experience. The chef makes beautiful pottery the food is served on. However, the food while good overall fell a bit short of what we had hoped for considering the cost. The menu does change so it is possible another night we might have been more blown away.

Yamazushi was such a lovely, authentically Japanese experience. Each course was transcendent, flavorful and delicate. The sake pairing really took it to the next level. It was well worth the wait for such an intimate and special meal.

It's a little bit pricy but food and sake was fantastic.

It was an awesome experience eating at yamazushi. The decor, the atmosphere is very calming and soothing. All the sashimi is really good and melts in your mouth, but tempura could have been better considering the price point.

Had a fantastic birthday dinner here with my wife. I felt like I was back in Tokyo. Food and sake were top notch and service was perfect. I even received a gift bottle when I left. I wish I would say I will be back but it is hard to get a seat there. Highly recommend.

Amazing Kaiseki, in NC. Totally blown away. The authentic Japanese experience is awesome. The quality is off the chart, and is appropriately priced.

Amazing intimate experience with Japanese cuisine. Service was impeccable! Very detailed, kind, fun and wonderful people add a touch of elegance to the experience of eating an 8 course meal that is hard to come by these days, a truly transformative experience. I've never had something quite like this and will highly recommend this place to everyone I know. Absolutely wonderful!

The 5 star aspect of this is the service, decor, and place settings. All are absolutely world class. Two servers cater to all your needs unobtrusively, they keep your drinks poured (did we really need all that sake??), and plates are cleaned and delivered flawlessly. The interior is beautiful with a little garden and many Japanese decorations. The plates and glasses they use are absolutely gorgeous, I don't think you'll see anything like it anywhere else. Food wise, for the price, I would say is more of a three star experience. The highlight was the fried course. A very crunchy on the outside, tender on the inside scallop and vegetables. Sushi and sashimi courses were good--but equivalent to what you can get in other places. There were other good, but not outstanding, Japanese flavors in the other courses. The green tea ice cream based desert was good, but not outstandingly so.

Good service, nice environment, but terrible food experience. All every small dishes and only 8 courses includes dessert. It is far not enough for an audlt. It is for kid! $125 per person but totally no High-grade ingredients. For sushi course, you will get basic nigiri which are tuna and salmon and even not good than other normal sushi restaurant. I think wagyu beef and O-toro will make it worth the price lol.

Fantastic service in a small, cozy setting. Food is stellar, if a bit expensive. The 2 hour long experience is one I will remember. Reservations are required, and you might have to wait months, but I’d say it was worth it. From the pottery, to the ambiance, and food - a unique experience.
